Stories

Thatcher by OkiBlossom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Summary: Mad-Eye doesn’t usually like people, but when he offers a helping hand, he changes a man’s life.

Dedication: This one is for Lexi (Harry_Rulz), Alyssa (ronlover) and anyone else who had a helping hand in it. And, it goes without saying; this is a nod towards Shelley’s painted veil. Thank you. Without you, Thatcher would still be locked in the back of my mind.

Written in the Stars by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

Growing up as Albus Potter was not an easy task, and being the son of the Chosen One wasn't a piece of cake, either. Expectations of greatness have the startling ability to crush someone, especially an eleven-year-old boy.

Join Albus Potter in his rocky journey to adulthood and what it's like to live, to learn, to love, to lose, and to be the middle child.

This story is going to be epically long, and yes, I will update. It may not come as fast as the updates to The Vindication of James Potter did, as I'm posting this as I write it, but I do promise that this story will not fall victim to apathy. Hopefully, you enjoy this story if you decide to read it. :)

The Boy Who Lived: The Tragedy of Heroism by xxwunderfunkxx

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: The seventh book left many things unexplained that happened between the final battle at Hogwarts and the Epilogue. J.K. Rowling has mentioned what happened to various characters after the defeat of Voldemort. This story (the title of which reflects Rita Skeeter's biography of Harry) includes some of the things that happened to the characters once the war was over. It also explains what happened between Harry and Ginny that brought them back together, and how Harry began his career as an auror.

Blackbird Aria by Glass_Paradox

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

Behind the Curtain by Virgil

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

“…he fell through the ancient doorway and disappeared behind the veil, which fluttered for a moment as though in a high wind and then fell back into place… Sirius must be just behind the curtain…”

Sirius Black didn’t die when he fell through the veil in the Department of Mysteries. He was transported to another world: our world, where Hogwarts doesn’t exist and magic lives only in the fantasy books. As Sirius tries to understand this strange new world and find his way home, he runs into some unlikely old friends. Nothing is the same behind the curtain.

Confessions on a Saturday Morning by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary:

Lily Evans had a lot of thinking to do, and what better time to do it than the crack of dawn on a Saturday? Not a person in sight...usually. That was, however, until she happened upon a certain group of boys, but without their normal mischief.

Follow Lily as she investigates this awkward run-in with James Potter and his friends.

Reciprocation by LD Noble

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Lily and James Potter were the victims of one of the most famous tragedies in the wizarding world. But what about their lives before them? What happened in the adolescence of two not-so-ordinary teenagers, living not-so-ordinary lives? This is a story of good, of evil, and of everything in between. But mostly, this is a story of love, and how James Potter, in the middle of a tumultuous war, won the heart of the reluctant Lily Evans.

Removing the Disguise by TwitchyGirl

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Claudia is an American transwoman who at the age of seventeen performed a spell that transitioned her from her male body to the woman she always was in heart and mind. And yet, the wizarding world viewed her changed body as a disguise, and whenever she walked through a magical security system that removed disguises, she found herself once again in a man’s body. This is the story of her battle with Magical Law for change in the view and treatment of the Wizarding Transgender Community.

Rated 6-7th years for controversial content, mild profane language, mild sexual content, and mild violence.

While I am aware that transgenderism is a controversial topic, I want to make it clear that any hateful, discriminatory, or derogatory comments are not welcome in the reviews.

A Life, In Short by SilverLily_13

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A little acrostic-free-verse poem about one of my favorite characters.... It's acrostic, so you'll know who it is. And also, I hope the words tell you who it is without needing it spelled out.

And just so you know, the mild profanity is very mild, and the character death is only implied, nothing gory or anything. There's even a tad of humorous content in here, in an odd kind of way.

Out of Place, Out of Time by The Magic Within

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Time is one of the great mysteries of the universe, its seeming simplicity misleading and its true complexity both astounding and mystifying…

Time is a restricting force, and it only ever wants to move forward, but in reality its boundaries are far easier to bend than one might expect. Time travel is something wizards have been experimenting with since the beginning of time, and they have finally mastered the art. However, all of the Ministry’s time turners have been broken, and it seems that, even for wizards, the ability to travel through time is once again lost. That is, until two people stumble across a rather extraordinary object that manages to do something even the time turners could not accomplish; it can send people years, decades or even farther into the depths of the past. The trouble is, after this object is used, it provides no way in which the user can return. They are forever trapped in time… unless they can find a way back. The question is, how?

Of Journals by Darkness Enshrouds

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: These are just a collection of one-shots I wrote out of boredom one day. Each story involves a journal, but that is the only thing they have in common. The stories are slightly random, don’t necessarily fit into any timeline, but I tried to stay true to the characters.

I hope you enjoy.

The marriage between Dorian Nott and Isla Black was the talk of the town, but to reporter Fredrick Whitlatch, it was yet another mundane societal write up. However, when the wedding started without the bride, his wish of a bigger, better story came true all too fast. What happened next went futher than his wildest imaginings.

Where was Isla?
