I'm Helaina (not that big of a secret, I know) and...I write things! I didn't used to publish my things, but somebody said I should and directed me here, so there ya go. I have several other plans for fanfics in the future, but for now I'm sticking with "The Path of a Star."

Um...stuff about me. I'm unique. I like all the stuff normal people don't like: bugs, reptiles, books, alone time. I also don't like things normal people (well...normal girls) do like: shopping, clothes, dogs, or anything pink. I used to have a wide variety of pets, including at one time a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach named Egg. However, I've settled with 2 kittens, 2 adult cats, and a pet snake. I simply LOVE the ocean and everything about it, and I'm quite an intelligent person XD. Only book wise; I have the common sense and logical thinking of a flea :P I get a new set of favorite words every once in a while. The current ones are "loquacious," "uncouth," and "surreptiously."

Well, that's all for now folks! If I come up with more, I'll add it. As usual, when I get home from school, my brain turns OFF. Ta!

Yes, after being reunited, the siblings plan to reunite their parents as well. Let’s see them accomplish House Unity, too!

“It’s our rule not to dredge up past things, remember?”

~Inspired by a worldwide beloved film.

Good Grace Is Hard to Come By by Enneirda

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Redemption has always had a funny ring to it...

Being disowned by her parents after a rather revealing and emotionally burdening event, Noël Potter struggles to rise above her outcast status, find financial security by fighting in an Underground illegal league of brawling, and eventually find a way back into the good grace of her family.

Teaser from Chapter 10:

This wasn't going too well.

He grinned manically as he pulled his fist back once more to deliver the blow. My cheekbone snapped. He retracted his hand once more. In a split second, I felt as if he should actually kill me; to end this sad story called my life.

A/N: About the warnings - There is some strong violence in some chapters due to the Underground League.

Holy smokes, guys! More than 2300 reads - thanks bunches!

Hogwarts Houses Divided by Inverarity

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary:

Teddy Lupin's first year at Hogwarts. Canon-compliant. Nominated for a 2008 QSQ for best Post-Hogwarts story.

The war is over, and all is well, they say, but the wounds remain unhealed. Bitterness divides the Houses of Hogwarts. Can the first children born since the war's end begin a new era, or will the enmities of their parents be their permanent legacy?

The Cause by Pussycat123

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Marty Price works for The Cause, which involves several campaigns and petitions on a weekly basis. It has become common knowledge within Hogwarts that if you see her coming towards you with a clipboard, you should turn and walk the other way. Or perhaps deny all grasp of the English language. And if this isn’t eccentric enough, there’s also her obsessive written observations of four boys in her year, which will one day make a rather interesting book ...

Remus Lupin, meanwhile, has always been a little different, too. Poor, sweet Remus Lupin is, to the casual observer, the picture of a sensible, hard working student. However, he has three friends who have done more for him than anyone knows and they have done this because of his troubled past, troubled present and troubled future. Why the gloominess? Because Remus Lupin just so happens to be a werewolf.

So what could these two possibly have in common? And how can their stories possibly connect?

Runner-up for the 2008 Best Marauder Era QSQ.

Challah and Pumpkin Juice by Calico

Summary: Tzipporah Stein, a Jew living in Vienna, Austria on the eve of WWII, is shocked when she gets a letter telling her she is a witch. The volatile state of Europe as it waits for both a muggle and a wizarding war to begin has prompted Hogwarts to take in students from many countries. How will Tzipporah handle magic, mischief, and even a little romance while trying to be true to her religion and culture at the same time?

Seventh Sense by roisin_dubh

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: A blind Muggle girl shows up at Hogwarts after a run-in with Death Eaters, looking for a solution to her mess and a place to recuperate.
I do not own any of Dante's work, nor do I want to. The former also holds true for Jeff Smith; sadly, the latter does not. I wish I owned his ideas. As it is, I just messed around with them. Please approach this fic with a very open mind; while nothing is particularly controversial, some of the concepts are very, very abstract and possibly arbitrary.

Becoming a Dark Lord by FinalCow

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Voldemort knows it's great being the Dark Lord; it's a position he wants to keep. But even the most malevolent maniac can't stand when the forces of fashion conspire against him! A tale of organized mayhem.

A Matter of Malevolence by trinsan

Rated: Professors •
Summary: Sometimes, perspective is everything.

From day one at Hogwarts, Severus Snape had problems, half of his own making, half not; how one interprets those problems depends entirely on one's point of view.

At least with Severus, one principle is always consistent: he gives just as good as he gets.

Sapphire Wings by FullofLife

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Eleven-year-old Conner O’Brien is plagued by an incessant bully, parents who can’t act normal, a friend who is nothing at all like him and a life he considers to be far below average. His home, East End, London, is suffering from a bout of inexplicable freezing weather in September and war planes are seen gallivanting across the skies, though England is not at war with anyone. During these mysterious times, Conner prays for a normal life. A normal life isn’t what he gets. Instead, he is privileged with the chance to hear Harry Potter’s tragic, epic story, from the mouth of the one man who knew him best. Though filled with heartbreak, terror, fear and loss, this story will change Conner’s life forever, and aid in bringing his own mysterious past to light.

A story of love, hate and the arrogance of humanity.

Abuse Warning for Bullying. Inspired by Skellig by David Almond. Chaptered Song-Fic to "Sound the Bugle" by Bryan Adams. East End, London, in this story, is a fictional East End, as I have never been there and have no idea of it's basic georgraphy.

Inbred by Sirenny

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It is a well known fact that all the Pureblooded families are inbred, but it is not until the issue of marriage arises that Draco realises just how out of hand the problem has truly become.

Note to my readers: This story has been on hiatus forever due to a variety of factors. I do hope to finish it some day, but don't hold your breath. Also, this is NOT a Dramione nor will I change it to be one. Lastly, I am in the process of rewriting this story so bear with me.
