MOMENTS OF BLISS by moonymaniac

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Remus Lupin is a man with a tragic past, filled with pain, suffering and sorrow. But it is also a past filled with great adventure, true friendship and…love? Even though the odds were against him, Remus found happiness at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He had the Marauders, he was a prefect and his transformations were less horrible, thanks to his Animagi friends. What more could a teenage werewolf want? And how long could his happiness last? Remus and the Marauders prove that in the saddest of lives and darkest of times, there can still be moments of bliss.

Remus centric but with a lot of the other Marauders. This story is a romance, but has almost as much general Marauder era background and side story as romance.
Pre-HBP and DH, so some things from DH will be disregarded, as the warning indicates, but some Spoilers will be incorporated.

No, he was not. So what was he?

Unforgivable by eleven49

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary:

Severus and Lily: the best of friends. That is, until one mistake too many destroys their relationship seemingly beyond repair. Still, Snape hangs onto the past, hoping that he might change Lily's mind, that he might earn her forgiveness.

"Did you think I was only mad because you called me 'Mudblood' more than a year ago? Well I guess some memories are slipping through the cracks! And did you think I was going to forgive you for those other things, which you’ve so conveniently forgotten?” Lily scoffed, raising her eyebrows. “Some things are unforgivable.”

James/Lily (and unrequited Snape/Lily). Rating for language.

Killing Me Softly by wewillmissyou

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Its hard to wait around for something that may never happen but it's even hard to give it up, especially when it's everything you've ever wanted.

*~*

Mary is in love with James. James is in love with Lily. Why do these two simple facts kill Mary inside? Maybe it's because James is her best mate or because he is the only one that really knows her. Or maybe it's just the fact that she isn't the girl for him when she is positive he is the guy for her.

I would like to thank butter_beer_drinker for the title, laceymoibella for the chapter title, ix3thehpseries for being my advanced reader, MistressOfTime for helping me in the Excerpts page, Mistletoe and xhalyleexblackx for help in the character clinic with Mary. And of course last but not least my lovely beta, who also helped in the character clinic, th_poet14, for whom without this story could not be possible.

Rating is for later chapters.

Excerpt From Chapter Two: Running
In my last class of the day, which was Ancient Runes, Amos Diggory took me aside after class and asked me to go on a walk with him.

Amos and I are mates with reservations. He sits next to me in most of my classes and he's a good for a laugh. We just aren't close. Mostly due to me. I may complain about having no friends, but I do it to myself. I think we all sabotage ourselves, in the end.

Anyways, hanging around with each other after class seemed like a violation of our timid relationship. I did want to, I guess. Nevertheless, I was nervous about accepting the invitation. What if it meant something more, than just a simple walk between friends? I'm not very fanicable so that most likely wasn't the case. Still, the chance for a misunderstanding to occur was one I wasn't willing to take.

I don't date. Mostly because I'm way too hung up on James to consider someone else in that way. Partly because I will never be able to trust a man I don't know inside and out. I'm not exactly worth chasing, either. Lily or Isabella merit chasing after. The two or three blokes that asked me out didn't really care that I said no. They weren't even close to being persistent. With good grace, they moved on.

While I was having this major internal dilemma in my head, Amos was patiently waiting for my reply.

Imaginary by Potter

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: COMPLETE!

Remus Lupin has always been different, ever since he was bitten by a werewolf and forced to live his life with the curse. He had no friends and never expected to have any until he started Hogwarts. But even once he entered school his wish didn't come true, until his third year. Remus would soon learn that with every good comes something equally bad.

Excerpt from Chapter Nineteen:

“What do you want, Lupin?” he asked exasperatedly.

“You hate me, don’t you?” Remus said in a friendly manner, as though he and Snape had been best friends since infancy.

“Gee, what tipped you off?” Snape retorted sarcastically.

“Then you would love to see me get hurt, wouldn’t you?”

“Well yes, I would enjoy that.”

“Especially if it was of my own doing?”

“That would make it even more amusing.”

“Then would you do me the favor of telling Larry Wilkins that I’d like to meet him out by the greenhouses at ten o’ clock tonight?”
