Thanking EVERYBODY EVER for the runner-up QSQ given to The Cause. Honestly. It was amazing. Both Marty and I thank you! (I'm sure Remus would as well, but I can't claim ownership of him). I would put the banner up but for some reason it's not working (stupid HTML).

HELLO to my bestest friend Chomione, you're truly the best, and hi to my brother CheeseKing, too.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my fics! I would reccomend the later ones; I only keep the early stuff because I can't bear to delete it. However, I can't bear to read it, either, but maybe you'll have some more luck. =)
Hey, how come this only has two reviews? It was good! I liked it, especially that end comment. I always kind of thought that it was Sirius and James who were the tightest friends, but this way works just as well ... after all, the reason I love Marauder era so much is because you can expand on these things so much ... Good job anyway, I'll stop waffling now =D
Author's Response: Thanks! I really appreciate your kind words. I didn\'t say it in my fic, but Remus\' best friend is Sirius, and Sirius was quite close with Remus. But James and Sirius were better friends. I too believe that Sirius and James were the closest of the four. Thanks again for the review!
SQUEEE!!! I loved this one, too. It was fabulous, and I'm definitely going to read the rest of the stories about the Prewetts later - you've got me hooked. Thankee! You're such a beautiful writer! And I loved Gucky, it was amazing how they all really believed in him, you know? Beautiful. Absolutely. You're wonderful.
Tee hee! Little Draco was corrupted from a very young age, I see. I really liked this, it was so much fun!
Draco wondered if it was a real spell.
I don't know why I liked that so much, but I really did! It was just kind of sweet, and three-year-old-ish. I like three-year-old Draco, he's kind of sweet in a brattish way. *Pats*
Anyway, I just thought I'd repay you for the fantabulous reviews you left me! *hugs* They made my day! Especially as I got them all in one go, because I've been deprived of internet this past week ... it's been torture. But still.
It was a great fic, even if it was so short...
Author's Response: Ha, thank you! I\'m a huge fan of your stories. Yeah, Draco as a little kid was so cute... too bad he couldn\'t stay that way!
Yay! *Happy dance* This was good. I liked it. And Dick is soooo evil *narrows eyes*. But I loved Ginny in this chapter, she was great! Back to her old self, it seems. And Harry, too. Wouldn't you just LOVE to have them as your parents?
Anyway, yeah, congratulations on the latest chapter, because I loved it! Lily is my favourite ... or maybe Sirius ... or Fred&George (as one) ... or Harry ... or ALL OF THEM!
I'm not hyper at all. Ahem.
Author's Response: You, hyper? Impossible! Thanks for the review and yes-- I would love them as my parents!!
Hey, I just read this all in one go, and it was great! The first Post Hogwarts fic I've ever read (although I've written some humour one-shots about Ron and Hermione's daughter, maybe you could check them out sometime? And yes, that was blatant and shameless advertising).
It was really good, all the characters are written so well! I can't write any of the main characters at all, so I've mostly steered clear, but you've done them really well, it's so believeable. I really liked it when Harry came back. I know that you were supposed to like it, but Lily's emotions rang so true (I know what it's like to be apart from a father you love, although my situation is completely different, and it certainly wasn't for six years ... I can only imagine poor Lily's feelings on that).
I also really like all her uncles, especially when Lily was confronting Dick (ha! I love that, "Uncle Fred calls him Dick", it makes me laugh so much) and she yelled out "Uncle George!", and he just came storming out of the house ... I could really envision that, it was so great.
I hope you update soon, I can't wait to find out what happens next!
Author's Response: It is hard to keep true to the amazing characters J.K. Rowling made for us, but I\'m glad you think I\'ve managed to do it! Thanks so much for the review.
What a great chapter! Talk about revolutionary ...
My favourite line was "It better damn well be part of a show" because it's the exact sort of thing I would say, and it made me smile. But the rest was great too!
I also loved the ending, the "It's all in the eyes" part, because you didn't explain it like you thought your reviewers wouldn't understand, it was subtle, and that's really important I think.
I love everything about this story, and I completely feel your pain with the whole coming to the end of it thing ... that's the WORST part of writing a fic. I find myself slowing down because I don't want to finish it! Although, in this case, I'd rather you updated as soon as you could. ;-D
Anyway, great chapter, possibly one of my favourites. Yay!
PS: I also love the "Sunny side up" thing, because it's so so true. I completely agree with Lily - you just HAVE to feel good about yourself.
Author's Response: Something you\'d say? That\'s something I\'d say! Thanks for the review, I\'m glad you liked the chapter, the subtle ending and the Sunny Side up part, (it IS true!)
December 3rd, 1980
It is a dark day for Gideon Prewett.
His fiancé has died at the hands of Voldemort’s followers. His brother has been missing for two weeks. Now, numbness and desperation are beginning to get the better of him, and the line between Right and Wrong is fading.
This was a story of the Gauntlet, third run.
Oh my cod. I know I said the others were tear jerkers, but I've actually just been sobbing - real, actual sobbing, and trust me, that takes a hell of a lot with something I know isn't real. In fact, the only time I can remember fiction actually making me cry is when I was reading Harry Potter five, when Sirius died. Oh my cod. I can't believe how much this made me cry! This was so amazing. So, so amazing. I hate reading anything dark, but this ... oh my cod. How did you do it? How did you write something so powerful? Impossible questions I'm sure. I just wanted you to know, although I'm not sure how well I've managed to word it, that this is so, so, amazing. It really is. I'm just babbling on, and it's not making any difference, I can't describe it.
Oh my cod.
I think I must be hormonal or something. Whatever my reasons for being so affected are, you're brilliance as a writer must be at the heart of it. Thank you so much. I had no idea something like this could make me react like this. Okay, I'm going to stop now. Gideon and Fabian were perfect in this chapter, and I mean that. Perfect.
Author's Response: Man, this story means so much to me I can\'t even bring myself to write much about it. \r\nI\'m not sure if that\'s incredibly meaningful or just pathetic...\r\nAnyway. Thank you for these reviews. Thank you infinitely much. You\'re awesome.
Okay, I said I'd read more Prewett stuff, and I will. While I preferred reading fun, happy tales about aerosol cans and fork trees, this is still good, and I am determined to stick it out - no matter how dark it is. You're writing is really good - I could never write anything this dark, trust me. Right, now I'm off to Chapter Two ...
My word. He became a Death Eater? Okay, either I just said something incredibly naive, or this is one heck of a story ... although I will again admit that it's hard going. But you're writing is fantastic, and now I have to finish it ... Poor Gideon! Oh, for his Gucky days ...
Intriguing ... You know, part one nearly made me cry. This story is so well written, and at the same time so ... so dark, disturbing, but true, despite it (obviously) being fictional. Peculiar how much I wanted to find and hug poor Gideon during this chapter ... not that it would make much difference, I'm sure. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; you're a great writer. This proves that you can do dark fics well, and I know you can do humour fics well, and it's just generally great. Congratulations.
Wow. Powerful. Another tear jerker - I love Gideon and Tisha, they seem so right together (even if she wasn't real when he was talking to her). This was so amazing. Poor Gideon ... if only he could get his life on track again. But I suppose with being a Death Eater now, that might be hard ... Oooh, I'll just have to read the last chapter and find out, won't I?
Ok here are my facial expressions while reading this: Annoyed (at yawning so much, dammit!) Laughing (at Fred and George's long winded speeches) Smirking (at Hermione's horror and exasperation, it was spot on) Confused (as I, like Hermione, tried to work out the Draco Malfoy thing) Realisation (as I DID work out the Draco Malfoy thing) Hysterical laughter (at Draco worriedly wondering why he had been urgently summoned).
Seriously, it was great. Really clever - the Fred and George stuff could have been written by JKR herself!
Author's Response: High praise, thank you.
Heh heh heh ... this is fun! I hope you continue to write, Mini-Hermione is really sweet, and I can imagine Malfoy acting exactly the way you are writing him in this situation - it makes me smile.
Author's Response: Oh gosh, I definitely intend to keep writing this story. I\'m not giving it up, and intend on seeing it until the end. =]I\'m glad it makes you smile - I try! ~Ritta
Is it really sad that there are tears in my eyes? That was so sweet! I loved how you'd made them so real for how I imagined them ... I'm assuming it is Lily and James, but I guess if you wanted to you could think of it as Harry and Ginny ... It was a nice touch the way you never actually stated which (although the late July/early August was a strong hint). Anyway, I'm just babbling now, so ... yeah. It was great. Looking forward to the next! This was such a great idea!
Hee hee. I liked this. And can I say that this line: "(granted, this was only because Peter had told him that it was a game, but at least it had worked)." had particular sentimental value to me, as I have used the same trick on my younger many-a-time. And he's 12-and-a-half years old. But still. Moving on, I really enjoyed this! I thought it was funny, but my only thought was that Lily and James are married age 19/20 is a little young. But then, this was ... uh ... late seventies? So I guess it's not QUITE as unusual as it would be today. Anyway, I'm enjoying this whole group-mod-fic thing, and look forward to the updates!
Hey, I really liked that! It was very well written ... And it didn't go off on a big long tangent like I sometimes find myself doing ... *ahem*. Basically, it was short, and to the point, but elegantly done. It's so weird to be reviewing the mods, ha ha! Looking forward to the next one!
*Gasp* I just sung this in my head, as I was reading it, and it was SO good. You've pulled off the "thy"s and "thou"s and "doth"s excellently. Heh heh, I love how romantic Gideon is being here. If only things hadn't gone so wrong ... Well, kudos to you for the whole thing, it's wonderful.
You mentioned something like "it broke my heart to rewrite the verse about myrrh". It made me smile, because that's my favourite verse as well - it's really dark and doom-y, but it always seems to be the one I sing with the most vigour ... lol, random am I, or what?
Anyway, just to say I have loved all the Prewett'd fics, they're all brilliant, but in different ways (although my favourite has to be Gucky and the Fork Tree, because it was the only one with Molly in it, and I really liked her as a young girl). I almost want to write my own fic about them, but I'm not going to, because it would completely steal your "thunder", and I could never do them justice. I'll just have to hope you're not finished with them yet.
Ha ha ha, this made me laugh! Tee hee. It's a wonder I never thought of what would happen if Voldemort's victims haunted him as ghosts ... Tee hee! I liked Bob. She was fun. I have a (girl) friend called Bob, only it's shot for Robyn, not Roberta. Fun fact of the week for you there.
Well, congratulations muchly on winning the challenge (I forgot which one it was, sorry, I have terrible memory problems) because you deserve it. It's nice to have a funny fic win something, rather than a really depressing and emotional one ... I'd much rather be laughing than crying.
Well, I think I've prattled on enough, and should probably be doing something more useful, like saving the world from annoying celebrities, so I'll be leaving you now. Ta ra!
Author's Response: Thanks! I actually think this is my weakest story up on this site, but this is a nice, long review.
I agree with you on the thing about \'I\'d much rather be laughing than crying.\' I just can\'t write totally serious pieces!
Well ... you've got my attention, that's for sure.
I loved James. I always love James, arrogant and cocky that he is, I have never read a fic where I didn't love James ... I'm thinking of marrying him. =D
Anyway, I want to read on, so I'll bow graciously to you, in respect to your very original story, and I'll see you next chapter.
Author's Response: Yes, I\'ve got your attention! :D And I\'m really glad you love James so much... the same goes for me! Hence the reason I practically adore him!
Thank you so much for the review!
Yours truly,
Amelia Bedelia
*SQUEE* I continue to love James, although it slipped with sympathy for Lily at the start, when he was dodging about to stop her getting on the train. Because if it's one thing I hate, it's someone doing that to me, due to my complete inability to do anything about it except glare at them.
But after that, I went right back to loving him again. The funniest part, was when he was closing his eyes, imagining the set, and Lily was thinking that he looked downright disturbing, I don't know, it just made me laugh. And love James.
Anyway, great story!
Author's Response: Yes, they\'ve got a few ups and downs in their personality, don\'t they? Well, they\'ll learn... I\'ll be sure of that! :D
Thanks for reviewing!
Yours truly,
Amelia Bedelia
