It's official: I love this story
People hate cliffhangers. I personally like them, but. . . others do not feel the same way.
Author's Response: Well, everyone's entitled to their opinions.
Wow. That was extremely deep. I cannot wait to see how Albus and Rose fit into this. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Well, read ahead, and I hope you'll review the other chapters too!
The plot thickens! I am so excited. I cannot wait to see what happens when the dueling story lines collide, and if Maddox is really guilty. Did I spell that right?
Author's Response: Yes, Maddox (and you did spell it right) is indeed guilty. He sicked a manticore on three first-years.
You are amazing. I really love how you combine two amazing story lines, and how you always keep us guessing about the older story line, and how it affects the first. You might want to lay off the cliffhangers though, they may affect your reviews.
Author's Response: Huh? I didn't have that many cliff hangers? I'll have to go back and count to see. And how exactly do cliffhangers effect reviews negatively?
We are all influenced by the actions or inactions of our parents. The same is true of Scorpius Malfoy; he has been raised by an overly protective mother and a father who is still coming to grips with the mess that his own father made of his life. Scorpius knows that he will be judged at Hogwarts by what others know or think they know about his father and grandfather.
At Hogwarts Scorpius will meet:
Albus Potter the middle child of ‘The Great Harry Potter’ and Quidditch star Ginny Weasley Potter. A boy who not only has things to live up to but an older brother ready to remind him of who’s boss.
Rose Weasley, Albus’ surrogate sister/first cousin, struggling in her own way, not her mother’s way, to succeed.
Kaitlin Jones, daughter of Tornados player Owain Jones and favorite niece of Gwenog Jones, who is at home on a broom and lost almost everywhere else.
Jimber Dokes recent immigrant from the West Indies trying to fit his own magical heritage Vardoo with the Western style of magic taught at the school
Thad Vance, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, his grandfather and all of his uncles and aunts were killed by Death Eaters, maybe Lucius Malfoy
Meanwhile in London, Draco and Astoria Malfoy try to build a new life and legacy by betting all they own on a Potions Shop in Diagon Alley.
Beta Reader - Apurva Patel Chapters 1-3
Carol Paquette Chapter 1
Hogwartsbookworm Chapter 4-15
In memory of my Father Horace McConnell 1934-2010
They were four of the closest friends that the Wizarding World had ever seen, but one of them was hiding a horrible secret.
This is the story of their journey to discover that secret.
This is the story of the aftermath of their discovery.
This is the story of their beginning, their youth, and their everlasting friendship.
AMAZING
Author's Response: Thank you very much! Becca:D
I would never have thought to write something like this. I find it beautiful, because no one ever thinks about the supporting roles, only the leads.
Author's Response: Thank you.
The inspiration for these stories came from a competition on another site (though they are no longer there, because they didn’t like the idea of me rewriting them, so banned me!). These Tales contain only the supporting characters, although Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny do appear. This story about Poppy had to come first. -N-
Cho Chang. They never really tell what happened to her. Brilliant.
Author's Response: Thanks. “Cho Chang married a Muggle” according to JKR, so she survived the battle. But that's all we know. -N-
You must have done a lot of thinking about her thoughts. Luna is actually very smart, and in the Harry Potter books you sometimes don't see that. She is innocent, wholehearted, and can see the good in most people. (exception- Voldemort and crew) She definetly deserves a spot, maybe even two or three.
Author's Response: This attempt at Luna-logic was one of the hardest things to write. Luna, however pops up in several other chapters alongside Ernie, Seamus and Terry. -N-
Great new character. . . I think. I don't have any constructive criticism. You're bloody brilliant!
Author's Response: Thank you. I rather like Polly. She was no more than a name in "It Takes Two" but I think that she's fleshed out nicely. -N-
I love it. Is it going to be all fluff and pixie dust, though? Or is there going to be a dark twist. (I prefer the latter)
Author's Response: Hmmm.. i wouldn't say all fluff, I'm not a huge fan of that either!
As for the dark twist, I'm not sure yet.
Let's say for now it's going to be a drama :)
Have an amazing day, and thanks so much for reviewing!!!!

I loved it. I think that it is fun and upbeat. But. . . Albus does not strike me as the uptight kind of guy. He seems the most like Harry, who is not in anyway, shape or form someone like Hermione, like this Albus is.
Author's Response: Hey, thanks so much for the review. I'm really sorry this wasn't updated sooner. I have to explain. This was the third site that I posted my story on, and while it was being looked at for validation, I kind of forgot about it. I will update as often and as consistently as the site will allow me from now on, so look for the next chapter, and review that as well! =] As for Albus being like Hermione, well, he's not entirely like her. He is a little bit more uptight and cautious than Harry, but I mean, we only saw a couple of pages of him in the series, and at that time he was only eleven. I hope you will continue to read on and give feedback.
I'm new here at mugglenet, but I read Killer Instincts, and I loved it. I can't wait to see what this has in store. My own story, The Potters and The Next Great Dilemma has not been validated yet, but, will you tell me what you think when it comes out? Besides from Secret Lily, you are my favorite fan fiction author. Great job so far!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed KI so much and I assure you that you'll enjoy this one equally. :) I'll be happy to check out your story once it's up. Just let me know and I'll go right there and read it. I'm flattered by your review. Thank you so much for being WAY's first reviewer!
I love it. It shows a different side of the family than most Next Gen. Fics. However, I do think that the age spacing is wrong. I was under the impression from the epilouge that James and Albus were only a year apart, and Lily was two years apart from Albus. However, I may be wrong. Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yes someone else said I got the spacing wrong... I'm not sure, I don't remember there being anything specific in the Epilogue... I thought it said James was starting third year and Albus starting first, so I sort of played around with their ages a bit. But maybe it's not entirely canon. Anyway, thanks for reviewing :)

I love it, but, what is Violet's last name? And, how can she see threstrals?
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing this chapter as well! I didn't think Violet's last name was particularly relevant... and I haven't given her one. She's not necessarily related to any canon characters, she could be, but I don't think it really matters. I haven't put in the backstory of how she can see Thestrals - in my mind it was one of her grandparents dying from some sort of disease, but I didn't include it. I might look over that section again and put it in. thanks for reviewing!!!
I think it is great that you are covering Ginny's story. I've always wondered what happened to her. I hope you go a little past the battle, because those nineteen years between the end of the seventh book and the epilouge puzzle me! Keep it up!
Author's Response: I plan to go a little beyond the last chapter of the book but not by much. I'll mostly explore the aftermath of the war. It'll likely be no more than 3 chapters I reckon. This fic is going to be a long project for me, could easily take beyond a year to get it all written.
Glad you've enjoyed the first chapter. Keep reading a reviewing!

This is great! Who would have thought to stop and think if Harry had a twin!!!! I can't wait to continue reading!!!
Author's Response: Thanks! Apparently, I would stop and think of that. :)
Still awesome! I guess that soon brother and sister will re-unite? Will she be the one to defeat the dark lord? The mystery continues, also with the one how Sev could be a good father. Love it!
Author's Response: Thanks! Sev as a good father was interesting to write about for me. It gave me a whole new perspective of his character. As for the rest of your questions- well, "Don't count your owls before they are delivered." Thank you for reading and reviewing!
