Harry Potter and the Impossibility of Time Travel by ChibiChibi

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Three years post-Hogwarts. The final battle has started on the night of Harry's twenty-first birthday and he and Voldemort finally face off -- but Voldemort still has to play his last card to get rid of Harry -- by sending him and three of his 'friends' into the past exactly twenty-one years. The four of them now have to struggle to be accepted, keep their identities from certain persons and find a way home.

This story will contain some romance -- if you don't accept certain couples or just desperately want to know who's going to pair up, just e-mail me, and I'll tell you.

Finally, a fic where people go back in time, but not using a time-turner! Brilliant! Who is Hermione's secret admirer? I think its either Christoph or Draco. But, could you go into Draco's life and go into Ron's relationship with his parents? I mean, I know that the sole purpose of this story is the relationship between Harry and his parents, but we need a side plot. Keep updating!

The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Read to find out how this one unseemly proposal causes absolute chaos in their lives! THIS STORY IS NOT HBP and DH COMPATIBLE! Hey all! A Walk in the Moonlight by Tara Ranae

Rated:
Summary: Lily catches James sneaking out of the Gryffindor common room late one night in their seventh and final year at Hogwarts. She discovers a secret and....a friend?

Hey there! I'm a friend of Tara's and she asked me to get on and make this little update for her. Her computer has...well...died. And I mean actually died--completley crashed. So that's why she hasn't been able to update. She says sorry to keep you all waiting and she'll update as soon as she can. So I thougth I'd just let you know! ^^

Chapter Three is *finally* in! Yay! Now you better go and read it and review it, and make me happy! Chapter Four is already written, I'm just waiting for incentive from your *wonderful* reviews before I send it in ;) So hop to it! ^_^

Oooooh, lookie it's an excerpt from Chapter Three! *throws confetti*

"POTTER!" she yelled. "LET ME OUT THIS INSTANT!" He smiled to himself.

"Aw, I don't know, Lily, I mean if I let you out, you'll hex me," he replied. He heard her curse loudly and try to get out--"Alohomora!"--which, of course, did her no good. He waited for a few moments until she stopped.

"That's better. Now, I will let you out on one condition...and one condition only," he continued, pausing as he waited for his words to take effect.

Hmmmm...better keep reading when Chapter Three comes up to find out what's happening!

Take My Heart Away by Hatusu

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Hermione goes back in time with one mission: to kill Tom Riddle before he ever comes to power. A difficult task, correct? An impossible one, she realizes, as a love between them grows stronger than anything she has ever known. Now Hermione has a choice to make. Will she condemn the Wizarding world to almost certain destruction, or will she take the life of the one boy she has ever loved?

I love it!
I tried to read the whole thing on FanFiction.Net but my computer locked me out! (Darn Parental Controls!) I'm trying to attempt a Tom romance, but its kinda tough because Tom isn't like Draco, who actually has the makings of a heart. I found the name 'Helen' quite random, but then again, Hermione was forced to make it up in two short seconds. Well, I'm looking foward to later chapters! Happy Writing!

--May the Force be with you,
Han solo

Author's Response: Actually, I picked Helen for a very specific reason. Have you ever read Greek Mythology? Heard of Helen of Troy? She had a daughter named Hermione, which is probably where Rowling got her name. Helen of Troy launched a thousand ships... the name is fitting, as you will find out.

The Salem Witch Trials by FullofLife

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Harry, Ron and Hermione are spending a day in the small wizarding village of Hogsmeade when they happen to come upon a strange amulet lying in the snow. This amulet has amazing powers and transports the three friends to Salem, Massachusetts in the year 1692 when Muggles lived in fear of witches and wizards and the penalty for being able to perform magic was death.

Date: 06/26/06 Title: Chapter 13: February 11th, 1692

So Hermone isn't dead then? Or, she is, but....bah! This is confusing! Ha! But still, this is getting pretty good.

The part where Hermione didn't kill her past self, but her present self took me awhile to register. It was kind of confusing, to tell the truth.

So, How much research have you done in this fic? I mean, there are so many facts and stuff like that. Not to sound dumb, but that's a lot of research to put into a fic.

Well, I'm looking foward to later updates, very much!

Happy Writing!
--Han Solo

Author's Response: Hermione... is.... I\'M NOT TELLING! Wait and see! That part was even more confusing to write... I tried to make it simple, but time travel and past deaths aren\'t always simple. :) I hope you got the meaning in the end! I did have to do a bit of research, but it was fun. The Witch Trials seem like something out of a story book! It was great. And since I still have to research a lot, it\'s still loads of fun. Updates coming soon everyone! My laptop had crashed and the power supply burned out so it took a while while I got a replacment power supply. Thanks for being patient!

"Mum, Dad, It's Me... Harry." by Mudblood428

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Harry, Ron, and Hermione make a trip to Godric's Hollow to visit the Potters' graves. There, Harry speaks to his parents for the first time, and in so doing, discovers that the dead are never truly lost. (One-shot. Bring your kleenex.)

This was sad. I've neverlost a parent and I was crying. But that's not much coming from me, because I cry at everything. I cried for the last 30 minutes of Lord of the Rings.

You have made a masterpiece here. i have only cried for one other fanfiction, though, and it was very sad, ecause everybody dies.

Your words convey to me the loss Harry has gone through. You know? GREAT story!

Avenged Sevenfold by SecretKeeper

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

UPDATE: Guys, I'm back!

The innocence I’ve lost
The blood it's cost
Leaves unhealed scars within.
But I will not abate,
I will employ the hate
That has been planted deep inside.
I will not falter
Valor will not tire,
And I will survive
This trial by fire.

Many things are different now. Potions class is the least of the trio's worries. Battling dragons would be a welcome alternative to what it is they're attempting to battle now. The Order of the Phoenix is hallow without its leading member. And when someone close to Harry is stolen, Dumbledore's rhetoric of love, hope, and faith is challenged. Harry's strength and resolve are pushed to their limits. Loyalties are tested and new leaders emerge while Harry and Hermione struggle to balance new emotions and uncharted territory. Yet while this time after sixth year proves to be drastically unlike anything Harry's ever experienced, some truths remain, and some affections stand solid.

A novel-type story that explores the engimas of Snape, Horcruxes, war, and above all, the puzzle of love. HBP compliant. HHr.

Date: 12/02/07 Title: Chapter 1: Winter Snows Challenge #5

This is such a beautiful story!

The snow fell softly outside — pure yet cold. This was how she felt. Cold and empty. She remembered the reason as to why she was here; She loved her son so much that she was willing to die for him. This knowledge the creatures could not take from her. She no longer felt the joy that this single thought once brought; only acceptance of the fate which she had carved for herself.

This is beautifully written. It shows just how much Barty's mother cares for him, that she would accept a fate that she did not deserve just to save him. Your word choice is simply stunning!

“He is lost to us. Your sacrifice would only be futile. Don’t do this,” his soft voice pleaded as he had for days on end. Yet her resolve had never wavered then, it would not waver now.

The way he speaks here really brings out his character: formal, and cold, even to his "loved ones". It really fits the description given to us by Sirius in GOF.

“Everything will be alright; I will make it all right, as I always have.”

This makes her seem almost...naive. It shows her love for him, but shows that she fails to see that you cannot always make the wounds go away. Like some people in real life. This is beautiful!

The way you characterized in this fic makes me jealous of the way that you write. =D It's simply wonderful!

This one made me giggle out loud! It's great!

When you think about it, poor Harry's got really bad luck!

You're very creative, I can see. I know that I would die trying to do a song parody. >.<

Your writing style of humor is great. I couldn't stop laughing at the last sentence, especially at the last sentence. I was thinking of Scrimgeour's look and Ginny's OOCness. =)

You've really got talent with the humor, missy. I can't wait to read more of it from you!

Kal,

That was really good! I love how you characterised Charlie; we don't see much of him in the books. He-to quote Indigoenigma- seems really down-to-earth and responsible, and caring, as an older brother should be. I always thought Ginny was closer to Bill, but this is a refreshing change.

I have to say that the last couple sentences really did the most for me. She may not have known it then, but that day, Ginny stepped forward. "A small step — a baby step — but a step filled with confidence. A step that would see her into the sunlight."

This really shows the strength that Ginny will, in the near future, gain. The way you talk about her strength is really subtle, but really makes her characterisation perfect. it's great!

Kal, I love the way you write! I have never failed to like any of the stories you've written. =)

Ahh! Preethi, this is a wonderful fic that I read over and over and over again when I'm sad. It cheers me up.

One of my favorite things about this fic is the portrayal of Luna's father, Marvin. You took such a minor character and just completely made a realistic, 3-D character out of him. I would never have expected that he invented The Quibbler from an idea of Luna's.

I have one teensy nitpick. Luna doesn't seem to be affected much by her mother's death, much less than her father, anyway. Why is that?

Oh, Preethi, I loved it so much!

--Hanni

Author's Response: Aw, Hanni! The first line made me smile -- definitely the best compliment I\'ve ever received. *grins* I\'m glad you thought Marvin was realistic. =] About Luna not being very affected by her mother\'s death, well, she is affected, but she doesn\'t let it show. Ditto with Marvin who pushes away his feelings to concentrate on Luna\'s happiness. And because we see the story through Marvin\'s eyes, we don\'t really get to see Luna\'s reactions to her mother\'s death. Thank you so much for reviewing; it definitely made my day! :D *hugs*
