I am a 30-something Harry Potter NUT. I live in Illinois with my husband, daughter and infant son. I teach daycare during the day (and I write my stories while on my breaks there!) and work retail at night. Most of the remainder of my awake time is spent floating around the queue and just trying to keep up with life.

Safe Haven is my very first fanfic so we'll see how it is received since it is *not* HBP or (obviously) DH compliant. Please remember this when reading my story as it will make it easier to grasp certain aspects of it.

When All Is Lost by Sly Severus

The direction that you have chosen to take Blenkinsop Waterbut is intriguing. I like how he is so in tune with everything going on in her life and look forward to see what type of information he has for her and where he has come from. (or how he camew to be so insightful...) You have my attention!

Author's Response: Hehe, I know you have read the last chapter so you know why Blenkinsop Waterbut is so insightful. He was very interesting to write. Thanks for the review.

*dabbing eyes with tissue* Okay, okay... I didn't see it coming and I am such a sap. I LOVED how you wrote this! The way the story took a 180 degree turn was very effective and it was done with style. Like I said, I enjoyed it immensly.

Author's Response: *smiles* I was actually rather pleased with myself when I came up with this idea. I didn\'t originally plan to kill Narcissa or Draco. I was just reading through chapter one and the idea popped into my head. So I totally revamped the story. This ending is way more original than the other one. ;)

Thanks so much for all the reviews and I\'m glad that you enjoyed the story.

To Love Life Again by lucilla_pauie

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: There's magic in dates.

Harry and Ginny and the Weasleys believe this.

This is why they send their poor Hermione to her granny’s cottage in Ireland on February twenty-ninth, Leap Year, hoping she could also leap back to life and perhaps to love once more, five years after losing Ron in the war.

Hermione doesn't know it, but her parents and the Weasleys plus Harry are not content seeing her slaving away with paperwork and living by routine with a dead look in her eyes.

In Ireland, amidst the hills and the romantic whispering of the mountain breeze and the sea, in the handsome seaside village of Ardmore, someone is waiting for her.

…someone waiting for something to complete his own return to life.

Someone named Andrei MacElroy...or so he claims.

This had been entered into the New Year Challenge At the Sign of the Green Dragon and won 2nd Place (insert very undignified *squee* here).

Rave reviews. Not your usual Dramione fic. The sequel is up. ~Then Somebody Bends~

Wow. You have my attention. I absolutely loved the detail you put into this first chapter. I could actually SEE everything quite clearly as Hermione was travelling through Ireland and the way you introduced Mr. Waterbut was classy. I like how you left it open for a return to the Green Dragon. The way you connected Draco with the MacElroy's was inventive. I look forward to see the direction which you have planned for the story. Good luck with the challenge!

Author's Response: oh, really, nicole, thank you so much!

im quite a newbie, so im thrilled to receive reviews from veterans.

im leaving a review for On the Run, too.

oh my, it seems i have tough competition!

:) thanks again. i thought the imagery was too much, but what you said reassured me.

Author's Response: oh, i take that back, i joined first than you, but still, you\'ve come a long way. i only have one other story here!

and thanks about complimenting what i did to draco. i just hate his name, so i made him hate it too. ^_^

Monster by Sly Severus

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Albus Dumbledore is dead. He has died at the hands of a man he truly trusted. Now it is time for that man to be punished for what he has done.

Impressive, Elle. I could see Draco *snapping* and going on a killing spree if something like what you wrote happened. I could actually imagine that type of scene happening b/c it made sense! Voldemort would be cruel enough to make Snape choose. I like how this was written. Well done.

Author's Response: *huggles Nicole*

Thanks so much for reviewing.

This story was actually inspired by a comment I read somewhere ages ago. Someone said that Draco\'s punishment for failure would be Narcissa\'s death. I thought that was something that could work, but it lacked a certain amount of style. Voldie is cruel and he likes torture his victims before going in for the kill. I assumed he was most angry with Severus of the lot of them, so I turned Serverus\' reward into his punishment. It seemed like the twisted type of thing Voldie would do.

And I really felt for Draco. He just watched his mother and aunt die. And I believe he has a very close relationshio with his mother. Snape is, at least in his mind, responsible for his mother\'s death. He has lost his mother, his aunt, his mentor and his father is locked away. He is completely on his own and seeking vengence. It is a very dangerous situation. The most dangerous person is the one who has nothing left to lose.

Again, thanks so much for the review. I\'m really glad that you liked it.

Hahaha... The person below me made me snicker.
(How Slytherin is that?)
I remember the first time I read this story, reading through the dream part thinking, "Oh I hate you Sarah.. You actually killed Ron on his wedding day," and feeling such relief when I saw the truth. It's a show of her fears, in my opinion, that she just meandered on up to the boys' dorm and gave them a hug, hehe. It makes me laugh in hindsight but it's true. That took a lot of nerve on her part... This is Hermione Granger we're talking about here.

Anyhoo, yeah... I loved it. Wonderful story my dear and I look forward to more. Go You!!!

Very nice . . . One of my favourite theories is the Butterfly Effect and how the flapping wings of even something as small as a butterfly affects the outcome of things on the other side of the world. I appreciate how your story shows that there is no such thing as a coincidence and something as seemingly insignificant as acknowledgement from an old friend can make all the difference in one's world.

Great Job. I very much enjoyed reading this.

Finally a Ginny'Harry worthwhile fanfic, hehe. I liked the backstory you gave us in the beginning. I like knowing what got the reader to the beginning point of their chapter. Does that make sense? I got a little confused during the battle with Voldy as far as who got hit, when and how. I may just be too sleepy at the moment, though. Amana sent this to me (cousin) and I am clicking on the "favorite" link right now! I wait with eagerness for the accompanying (sp?) chapters...

oooohhhh.... What a great story. I was reading this and wondered if it was a continuation from your Green Dragon prompt? It had a lot of similarities. I loved seeing into Bella's head as it is slightly different every time you dive in through your stories. I'm still at war with myself as far as her leaving Voldemort after her kills Cissy, though. Part of me thinks she would and part of me thinks, though she would be torn and might have quavering beliefs, that she would allow it to pass eventually. I think she might be more bitter at the reasoning behind the act happening. I LOVED the fic, regardless of internal arguements though. Fabulous job as always!! (I even took time at work to read it, I was so excited!)

That was a fun and well thought out story, Elle! I was wondering how you would get yourself through a story about your favorite headmaster, hehe. I had forgotten which prompt you chose but when I read the last section of the story and saw the broken nose, I laughed out loud! You made the character of Aberforth likable too. :-) It was also intertesting (since we have very little to go with) how you showed the relationship between Aberforth and his brother as so volatile(sp?). It put an interesting spin on things and I think (if you could get yourself through it) that a sequel to this would be fun to read. Very impressive my dear! *huggles*

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Nicole.

And you\'re absolutly right. Getting through a Dumbledore centric story was not an easy task. However, I managed to keep his involvement to a minimum. It was actually kind of fun writing all of Aberforth\'s bitter thoughts about his brother.

However, I don\'t know that there would be a sequal. Writing Aberforth was kind of fun, but I don\'t know of anything else he would have to say regarding his brother. But I am considering another story with him.

Thanks so much for the review. *huggles back*

Oooh! Lupin? Longbottom? I was wondering who their parents were! I am very curious as to the direction that you will be taking this story. You had my attention when you had such a vague yet detailed lead into the story. Seeing Harry portrayed as a cruel man makes me curious. Why does he hold such harsh feelings towards the girl? Who is she and which family does she belong to? Hmm. I am very eager to explore the young Lupin and Longbottom! You've got my attention, Elle.

Author's Response: *huggles Nicole*

I thought the name Frank would probably give away his parents, I\'m glad it didn\'t. I wanted to leave that little bit of mystery there until the end of the chapter.

Harry has the potential to be cruel. He has proven that more than once. If the right circumstances prevail, I think he could become a very cruel man.

Giggles at Ella questions. I can\'t answer those. I\'ll tell you this, she is far more a woman than a girl, remember the greying hair. And she if from a familiar family. That\'s all you\'re getting. :p

As for young Lupin and Longbottom. I have had fun with them. I didn\'t know if I would like working with the next generation, but so far its been fun. And of course, there are many characters from the other generations as well. :D

And I\'m really glad to have captured your attention. I\'m actually very fond of this story. I actually believe it to be my most original yet.

Ahhh... OC fics are so refreshing. The funny thing is I simply clicked on the story without paying attention to specifics, hehe. Now, let's see here... I really enjoyed the character of Eloise and that is a feat in itself because as much as a good fanfic can flow, it is always an adjustment when I don't know anything about someone's character. The cool thing about your character of Eloise was she was as open as the pages of a book and, therefore, one could quickly realise what she was made up of!

Harry's character... I had mixed feelings, to be honest. When he was not lost inside himself, he was great! I was a little confused in his attitude at times because he just seemed so short tempered... I may have read it wrong but thats what I got out of the fic at times.

The ending... I LOVED the relationship he has with Eloise at the end. It's the Harry I think he might become and I think if he were to not become and Auror, a Quidditch ref would be ideal because he's not *in* the game, perse but he still gets to be on the pitch, on his broom! Nice choice, Leah. All in all, I really enjoyed the story. Any chance of more coming from this? I think it might be enjoyable and I think you have the ability to take it where others have not. You've got quite the talent here!

I adored this story, my dear! I must say, you've done it again, hehe. I have never read a story written from Petunia's POV or for that matter, one that centered around the Dursleys. I also must admit that I never thought I could read something that made me feel sorry for the Dursleys but you've done it. (at least Petunia.) I loved how you allowed us to see her thoughts and the internal conflicts going on as far as her feelings towards what happened. I think my favorite part by far was the end where Petunia told Dudders that Harry was his cousin and he spit up on her! That had me chuckling when I read it here at work. :-)

I envy that imagination of yours and I'd love to know the farm that your plot bunny came from as mine seems to be bi-polar lately. He doesn't know which way is up!

Nice job my dearie! (I knew Elle would give us a Bella story to read, hehe.) *clears throat* Anyways...
The details you gave the reader when describing Bella's cell was riveting. You could almost smell the murkiness that she had been living in. Okay, I'll touch upon some areas where I got confused and then I will... well, I'll do something. I'm just not sure what yet.

She would recall other times as well to distract herself from the intense, endless cold…times with her sisters, when they had all gotten along…and times from her days at Hogwarts, from her classes to her socializing…as well as minutes with her husband, Rodolphus…she would relive each instant vividly, treasuring them once again, as though through a second life.

I was a bit confused as to the way the sentence was written. It just seemed so... long.(?)

Holed up inside herself, some days it was all she could do to remain sane. She would fasten to her memories, memories of service under the Dark Lord. Every moment from her initiation into becoming a Death Eater, to the countless victims she had tortured and killed…she could still hear their shrieks reverberate off the walls, sending delighted chills down her back…

Ahh, yes. The evil within peeks out. You've got to love our Bella. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the grouping of the Death Eaters and their reunion with Voldemort. It was very believable and that was refreshing.

Lovely job.
~Nicole *huggles*

Author's Response: *giggles* I wonder why you thought Elle would do that? :D

Hmm, yeah, I see what you mean about that long sentence. It is kind of rambly and long-ish. :P My only excuse is that Bellatrix\'s thoughts might become a little disjointed after spending so many years in Azkaban.

Yes, I do love Bella, but more in the sense that I love to loath her. :D However, writing this did soften me a little towards her. I\'m so glad you liked this, Nicole. Thanks so much for the nice review! :)

What a fabulous viewpoint on the final moments of Regulus. I have never really read a story centered on Regulus but this one makes me want to read more. I love how you delved into his mind and we were able to watch him slowly crumble, especially after seeing Nymphadora. I always forget how many characters were related and as children spent a lot of time together. When Bella approached him from behind and he greeted her as "cousin" before she killed him... powerful.

Reading the final part - the letter delivered to Andy from Sirius - really brought home how clear cut the alliances were and how far Bella would go to serve Voldypants. Her allegance was unwavering, even against blood. Thats some strong power You-Know-Who has got over her.
