Moons of Deceit by Grace has Victory

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Remus Lupin tolerates mischievous friends and lycanthropy, while the prophetic Ariadne MacDougal negotiates a misguided family, and everyone must deal with the Death Eaters. A rather dark coming-of-age story about the death of innocence and the renewal of hope during Voldemort’s first war.
Part I of The Moon-Cursers. Now updated to be DH-compatible.

Good, but sad. Well, I guess that's just what it was like. Poor Moony

Author's Response: Dear GD, Yes, his family had to go, didn\'t they? Poor Moony indeed. It will be worse before it\'s better. Regards, GhV

I like those readings. Very well-written as usual! This is a really good story

Author's Response: Thank you very much! Trelawney is a very fun character, isn\'t she? But I suspect the crystal, tarot, etc. only work for true Seers. GhV

I like it of course but I think there was a little bit of a lack of reaction about the Potter's deaths. But I love this story so don't take it badly, I hate offending!

Author's Response: Dear GD, You have said so many positive things about this story that you are welcome to mention also a few that didn\'t work so well for you. I think Remus is in shock - more reaction will follow. But the truth is, nothing so horrific has ever happened to me, so I found it very difficult to imagine his feelings. Maybe it\'s somewhat wooden? Thanks for keeping up the reviews, GhV

Oh those evil little girls, that Letitia! I hate them! Nice chapter, I liked it a lot.

Author's Response: Dear Gin Drinka, I\'m glad you hate Letitia, because I do too. In personality and character (and looks too), she is exactly like her brother Lucius. That means she will have to do a very good pretend-job for the next two years, and claim she\'s happy about losing the war. Thanks for reviewing, GhV

Did you think I'd stop reviewing every chapter??? Never!! Lol, I just had a bit of a problem what with losing my password and all. Not gonna do that agian, anyway, your an awesome writer and I love reading your stuff!

Author's Response: Dear GD, What a frustrating problem to have! I\'m glad you\'ve sorted it all out now. Thanks for your determined reviewing of every chapter - I do look forward to hearing from you! GhV

Aww...how sweet! I love them together! Makes it seem that life for Moony isn't SO bad afterall...

Author's Response: Dear GD, Hope is on its way. I\'m sure Remus appreciates your support while he waits. GhV

I like Morag...ugh, dont like Draco so much! Nice chapter, very well written!

Author's Response: I don\'t like Draco either. He\'s a nasty little brat, even at two and a half. But you will see more of Morag. GhV

Awww...well I loved reading this story, I read it all in one day, however long it took me to review everything! And it's absolutely great, you write wonderfully and that's the best compliment I could give! I told my friend about your story and she seems to like it too, lol. So sad it's the end, but what a nice ending!

Author's Response: Dear GD, Congratulations on making it to the end of the story. Thank you for keeping up the reviews, and for recommending my story to your friend. That is definitely the end, because Remus has a friend now. See you in the sequel? GhV

Very well-written. I like the way Miss McDougall is coming out...

Author's Response: Dear GD, She\'s coming out quietly because she doesn\'t like to draw attention to herself. But you\'ll know her pretty well if you keep reading. GhV

Well, there's not much to say that hasn't been said. It was absolutely hysterical in a subtle and...I don't know, classy way? Honestly, it was just extremely funny. Thank you for a good laugh when one was needed.

Ha! This is great! And it reminds of the time I went on a cruise. God it was beautiful just like you say. I went to Argentina and shared a room with three friends, cause with more people there were discounts and we could afford to pay. There were gorgeous sailors there too. But, sadly, there was no Malfoy. *sighs*...can't wait to read the rest!

Author's Response: Oh, how lucky! I\'ve never been on a cruise, but I\'m absolutely dying to go for one! And the best part part is you went with your frinds - eek! what fun! =D Ah, well...hopefully you\'ll meet your Draco Malfoy one day hmm? *winks*

Just want you to know that I followed this story since about three chapters of it and I'm so sad to see it go, but it was amazing while it lasted. Magnificent job! And hey, I would love it if you could read my very first story and tell me what you think...

Senses by Gryffinpuff

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Sense: a word of so many meanings. This is a story about senses. The common sense notion of self preservation that is lost when friends are in need, the senses of the body that can be damaged so easily, and the intuitive senses of the heart that tell you when things have changed. R/Hr focused with a little bit of H/G, not a lot of fluff, with rotating views between the characters on a truly horrific day.

This story is beautiful! You write so well, and it's so real. I love stories that show the acceptance of death in a bittersweet way. At first I thought it was Hermione, but Mrs. Weasley is alsmost as bad. poor Mr. Weasley. But that's life. Well, anyway, it is great. You're writing is great. Please write more!

Everybody Does It by Grimmrook

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: *Runner Up in the 2006 Annual Quicksilver Quills Awards for Best Dark/Angsty*

It's the one thing everyone must do. You can't avoid it, you can't bargain with it, you just do it. It hurts sometimes, hell, it hurts most of the time, but it's also the most natural thing in the world. One of those rare things that makes us human.

This story is included in the Epilogues story arc, however it is a side story that can be read at just about any time. it is most favorable, however, to wait until reading Epilogues Part I for certain thematic reasons.

Oh God, that was beautiful! It made me cry and I'm still crying! It's my absolute favorite. Any story can make you laugh and wish you could be a part of it, but few stories can make you really cry like this, and now that despite the fiction it's real. Amazing job, I loved it and it touched me.

Author's Response: I am so glad. I think when you put as much of your soul into the writing of something, responses like yours are kind of what let\'s you know it wasn\'t all in vain. Or something like that. I don\'t know. I\'m just glad it touched you. Thanks.
