Hello! Great to see you! That's right, I can see you right now. Turn around...
Here's some stuff about me that might interest you (or cause you to call an institute on my behalf. Either way is fun for me!)
Some sayings I either made up or love: 'Yeah I ship Harry/Hermione. It's called a friendship.' ~Me as far as I know. 'Life is like a box of chocolates: nutty and the rich eat you alive' ~also me. I also love some Ancient Chinese Proverbs, especially the funny ones. Unfortunately I can't remember any. Watch this space!
Fave Characters: Ginny and Neville (but not as a pairing) Love Dobby too, and want to know more about Bellatrix (she seems like an interesting character)
Fave Book: Don't make me choose! Who wrote this anyway? Oh, right, I did...
Shippings: Harry/Ginny (otp), Ron/Hermione,
Remus/Tonks, Neville/Luna (I know they'll never be together, but I think they're cute together. Sane and, um... Luna) If Harry dies I will ship Ginny/Neville and if Luna and Ginny die Harry/Luna would be okay. I'm also a fan of Ginny/Viktor (don't ask)
House I would be in: I would love to be in Ravenclaw, but I'm a procrastinater and would end up in Slytherin. I'm cunning and very sneaky. I'll tell you if I ever do a test.
Book 7 theories: I heard this awesome one about Neville being the Chosen One, but after consideration I've decided that the entire prophecy is based on choices, and ol' Volders chose Harry. Plus Dobby and the Giant Squid will become a item, but who doesn't know that.
About my stories:
Worse Than Anything Else: I've actually written seven chapters, but only three are up so far. The evil computer deleted a lot of chapters, so it's back to about five.
Dark/Angsty: I'm about halfway through it! I put it aside for the time being it to start my songfic though. Expect some twists and major shipping.
Songfic: It's set to Evermore's Light Surrounding You. Every time I heard that song it reminded me of Harry Potter (specifically Harry/Ginny) so now I'm writing to it. It's finished, and is in the process of being Beta-ed!
Humour: It's six pages long, and I'm about 3/4 of the way through! It's called Poetic Justice, and that title makes a lot of sense if you read it.
Also, I'm jshedden on the Beta Boards if anyone feels like PM-ing me.
Looking forward to Deathly Hallows and the OOTP video game,
Jess.
Ps. Sorry OOTP movie. I mean, I'll love you and everything, but I love the games more. Plus the book is a zillion times more important
Very groovalicious. I have honestly read nothing quite like this, and i mean it in the best way possible. *gives spork* use it well.
Author's Response: LOL, thanks, Jess. \'Twas very fun to write. ~Lindsey :)
At first I was think 'Ooh, evil H/Hr shipper' and was about to abandon reading this, but you proved me wrong! Hugs and sporks to you, my friend (actually, you're not really my friend. I've never spoken to you, let alone met you) Anyhoo, thanks for the slightly confusing read. I'm still sure it's illegal to date your first cousin. Glad to see you're sticking to R/Hr and H/G, 'cos it's like canon dude. Ciao!
Author's Response: Dear BED, I think some people took the shipping wars WAY too seriously and I wrote this story so that we could take a laugh at ourselves. In Britain it is both legal and socially acceptable to marry your first cousin (Queen Victoria did) and I imagine that such marriages are fairly common among wizards. However, in the light of modern genetics, I\'m sure wizards would worry about the phenomenon. Thanks for reviewing, GhV
I have to hand it to you, I like this story. Generally I don't read stories if Harry's dead, but you an exception. Adding to favourites!
Author's Response: Thanks alot! I hope you keep enjoying it!
That was crazy good fun to read. I'm using the line about counting as my MSN name. Thanks for the inspiration :)
Author's Response: My pleasure!!!
Teehee, they would've been really upset if they'd tied with anyone else. My list would be Fred, George, Ron and Ginny at the top, I find them all very funny. Loved it!
Author's Response:
Author's Response: i\'ve always had the impression that fred is funnier than george.. i dunno, that\'s what i feel.. that is where i got the idea of this story.. but yeah, ron is the funniest for me.. =P
This has the promise of a good Final Battle (in capitals) story. If they're not at MM, then where? Rocks...rocks....
A rock concert? If they had it in a garden, it would be a Rock Garden. Yeah, think about it... Oh, wait, they haven't just checked the backyard. Silly billies.
Well, that's all from me. I'm looking forward to future chapters!
Ciao,
Jess
PS. A thought occurs. Wouldn’t they have a Fidelius (bet I butchered it) Charm on the house?
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Let me give you a hint: you\'re going down the \"rock\" idea... the prophecy spoke of stones.
Hmmm. Wouldn\'t the Malfoys have a Fidelius charm on their house? Probably :P Hehe... minor detail :D
Then again, if the Malfoys are Mr and Mrs Socialite among the dark wizarding world (and I don\'t know if they are!!), it mightn\'t be hard to have its location revealed... *shrug* I dunno, I\'m rambling now :P
Looks like my review didn't go through. Oh well.
Voldy's really dead, right? Right? RIGHT? If he's not, well... he'd be pretty awesome. Now Harry and Ginny can get married and have little babies and name them Lily and James. If that happens, please don't name them Lily and James.
Author's Response: haha oh no, trust me, there will be no little Lilys or Jameses.
This I like. The stones thing is still confusing me. Does it mean headstones? A graveyard is a very fitting place to have a Final Battle (still in captials) I hope you get tonnes of reviews. Update ASAP.
Ciao!
Author's Response: Well, a graveyard was a good guess. I guess you\'ll just have to read the next chapters to find out!!
I have the first 8 chapters already written and beta-d, so I usually submit a chapter as soon as the last one gets verified. Then it\'s just up to the mods!
I got a little confused about halfway, but I thought it was great! Ron did... what did Ron do? Why do you always kill Ginny? Was Hermione married to Ron? Why am I asking so many questions? What is the meaning of life?
Ciao,
Jess
Author's Response: LOL, Jess! If you read the others in this series of one shots (A Time to Fall, Seven, Livid, and Calculating) you\'ll see the storyline that I put behind this. It\'s just a bunch of seperate stories on Ron and Hermione. All of your questions will be answered there. Jess, when am I getting the next chapter to your lovely story? I want it. *grins* ~Lindsey :)
Excellent first chapter. I love it when people let Harry meet his parents somehow without actually killing him. Much less angsty that way. So Harry and Ginny are getting married, right? I bags naming their first kid. Jamie (boy or girl) Rose (girl. Sticking with flowers) or Percival (after Dumbledore or Percy, your choice) Seriously though, love it.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Those names are really good, but i already have some picked out. How about this, you can choose between these four: Sapphire and andrea (for girls), and Jeremy and Christopher (for boys).
Yeah, that's just a tad different from the other stories of yours I've read. Just a smidgeon... I believe I've run out of Englishy words for small.
I really quite like it, which is rare for a next-gen fic. Reading the words 'next-gen' always remind me of Star Trek, and I've never even watched a single episode. I'll be adding this to my favourites now. Write more, have a fun life and don't let the Orange Sheep Tutors tell you how to live your life! And with that extremely odd piece of advice, I'll be off. Ciao!
Author's Response: Let\'s use German words! (Ein Bisschen anders...) Man, I love future-gen... unfortunately, mine seems pretty cliche. I realized this AFTER joining the fanfic community, having completed the first two books. But, eh, I was twelve when I wrote this, so whatever. Thanks for warning me about the Orange Sheep Tutors! They just keep plaguing me!
Well I could be criticising about the abnormal amount of OOC-ness and the length of the chapter, but you caught me on a good day. I have good days about 6 and a half days out of 7, so don't feel too special...
I was in the mood for something mad and extremely nonsensical after reading a few angsty stories, so thanks! I'm a huge fan of OOC Voldy, and though you haven't quite got him to his full potential, he's definitely getting there. May I suggest some ideas for future chapters?
*Nagini breaks up with Voldy, and he spends an evening with a box of chocolates, some cheesy romance flicka and a short, fluffy green robe (that way it's not to OOC by being pink)
*A birthday party. The decorations could get messed up by the party planner and all be, I dunno... Spongebob Squarepants or something. Games such as pin the Avada Kedavra on Dumbledore and darts featuring Harry would be, of course, the best way for all his Death Eaters to have good, unclean fun! Ooh, and spin the bottle or 7 minutes in heaven!
This review is probably my longest in ages, but I'm bored and felt like being random. Now, to my most important piece of advice: Don't drink and ride angry camels (especially not at the same time!)
Ciao!
Well that was sad. Beautiful, but sad. Oh well, at least they died together.
Nearly made me cry, and that's a hard thing to do. So far only one story has made me cry.
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad that it was able to move you. I really strive for that in my stories.
Aww, Harry's gonna get flattened. Let's just hope Ron doesn't find the Hermione/Draco category. Or any other various pairings. Ahh Lindsey, finally a story where you're not an evil Ginny-killer!
Author's Response: LOL! Jess, I love you. I think that in my next story I\'m not going to kill off Ginny, just for you. *hugs* ~Lindsey :)
This will be a fun story for half the world be it's the middle of Winter here! Now I want ice cream but it's freezing and if I eat it frostbite may occur :) Seriously though Winter here is like a British Spring, so I'm not complaining. Loved it, so I'm having ice cream with sprinkles for dessert (I adore sprinkles) keep up the good work!
Author's Response: You know, I forgot about that! Here I was thinking, \"Yay, summery story!\" because in my corner of the universe, it\'s hotter than a room full of Ron Weasley clones. I had to eat some ice cream while writing this. ^_^
That was pretty good. Poor Lily, poor Ginny. Hermione's pretty mean: it seems she's given up on equality and whatnot. Update soon!
Author's Response: don\'t give up on Hermione yet! I\'ll do my best to update quickly. Thanks for the review!
Ron/Luna is a pretty cute pairing, though he teases her too much for it to be Canon. I'm writing a really random story where he ends up with her and Ginny with Viktor. I thought it was the most un-Canon thing every until Krum started ckecking her out.
I love all your stories, and this is no exception. Smiley face for you :)
Author's Response: Ooh, your story sounds pretty interesting, Jess, I\'ve never heard of anyone doing Ginny/Viktor, lol. And I didn\'t kill GInny this time, so I thought you\'d like it if you read it. *giggles* Thanks so much! ~Lindsey :)
Nice. I think Lily could've loved Snape if it wasn't for his thirst for power. He seemed pretty nice other than that.
Author's Response: I agree, kind of. I think had Snape not been so drawn to the dark arts or horrible to those of \'lesser\' blood, she would have felt the same way. However, I don\'t think she ever allowed her self too because she knew who he was, and new she would get hurt. Thank you very very much for your review, it is much appreciated =)
