Rated: 3rd-5th Years •Summary: James Potter: Marauder. Lily Evans: Prefect. They're both seventh years at Hogwarts. They're also about to have a pretty interesting year--complete with a few detentions, pranks, confusion, and laughter--in which they get through school, make some trouble and maybe, just maybe, sort out their feelings for each other.
Thanks to all you who have made it possible for this story to be in the Top Tens. It was a very happy moment when I first saw my story on the list, and I love being able to go back and see it there now. Still. Yay!
Throughout the latter half of 2010, and the first half of 2011, I re-edited this story. The changes were mostly to fix stray (and annoying) grammar and spelling errors, but also to rework some plot points in an effort to stay truer to canon. I also updated the style; having written this story so long ago, my writing has definitely developed (and I would say gotten better), so I edited to reflect that. (I apologize for the errors that were in the story before all this editing. I found them immensely distressing when I reread my chapters. Heartbreaking, really.)
Big “thank yous” go to the three people who helped edit/nitpick the first edition of this novel: violagirl, fairiesandcream, and Omagus.
And yes, this story is up on Fanficition.net under the penname: Io.Sono.Emilia.
Of course, as a disclaimer, I’m not JK Rowling. The Potterverse does not belong to me, but I am in it and love it.

Hehe, rare pairing, but great one-shot. I especially liked this part:
Ron slowly made his way towards Pansy and she looked up at him locking her eyes with his. They were inches apart, and Ron was losing control. He was lost in her beautiful features and couldn't take it anymore. He wrapped his strong arms around her waist, and pulled her close. He brushed his lips against her soft silky ones, and she didn't reject. In return, she leaned into his touch and kissed him back, more passionately and longing. She eased her tongue between his lips, wanting to taste the inside of his mouth. They parted, gasping for air.
I too, never thought that I would like this pairing, but this fic is very nice. The part above is my favorite, because you showed their feelings, passion and need wonderfully. Also, I love how you showed Snapes' actions, exactly like the real one would do. Lovely fic, once again!

I often read Draco/Hermione fanfics and when there is a good plot, characterization etc. they often go to my favorites.
This is a very good fic. Hermione's acting is perfect. Her bossyness, stubborness...
Draco has changed, and I like his attempts to convince Hermione to forgive him. This pairing often starts with forgiveness and continues with love. I see that you keeped Draco's sarcasm. I laughed at the parts when people say to Hermione to forgive Draco.
I didn't think that you'll make her forgive him, after all.

“Don’t like it much,” Malfoy replied. “Spent too many years there. How about Bora Bora?”
Hermione didn’t reply, but kept her eyes fixed on her newspaper.
“Lose the paper, Granger.” Malfoy sighed.
Hermione folded it irritably and gave him a venomous stare. “How did you even find me here?” she asked.
“You’re as easy to spot as an elephant on a field,” Malfoy replied.
“Oh, that so doesn’t heighten your place in my heart.”
“I have a place in your heart?” he asked, baffled.[/I]
This is good. Draco has a place in her heart. I don't believe that Draco will end up evil. Jo described him very good at he Astronomy tower. You showed Draco's good side.
Author's Response: I\'m happy to hear you liked the story and Hermione\'s characterisation. You\'re right; this pairing does often start with forgiveness and continues with love, however this story never reaches love. One might imagine what sort of (romantic, even) relationship will brew between Draco and Hermione after this, but that\'s up to the individual reader, really. Well, no, Draco does not actually have a place in her heart (at this point at least); he\'s baffled by what she said, but she didn\'t exactly mean it like that - as she hurriedly explains afterwards. I don\'t think Draco\'s all bad either, having read HBP. Thanks for the review.
