"It Unscrews The Other Way" by Pussycat123

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: The line that probably best describes the legacy that the Weasley twins left behind after their Great Escape, during Umbridge’s brief rein at Hogwarts. Their legend lasted years afterwards ... but eventually, the only permanent physical reminder was the roped off corner of one corridor, containing a small part of swamp. The mystery of its origins is merely smiled at reminiscently by teachers, and the students can do nothing but spread rumours of how it came to be. When little Janey Weasley starts life at Hogwarts, the mystery is still unsolved. On a whim, and desperate for recognition, she writes home to her father, asking how it came to be. When Ron replies with the true story, a chain of events begins that might just be the making of the next true Hogwarts mischief legend ...

Trouble With Exams – A Janey Weasley One-Shot by Pussycat123

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Sequel to “It Unscrews The Other Way”

Due to popular demand, our favourite imaginary Weasley is back, this time coming to the end of her first year at Hogwarts. She is now an established trouble-maker, but there is always that issue of grades vs. good times. With various relatives (well, her favourite uncles) telling her one thing, and other relatives (well, her mother) telling her another, anyone would be at a loss as what to do ...

*wipes away tear of laughter* True talent you have there me dear. Loved it! And how you set the story out of great, in letter form the whole way. Can't say I read a story like that before, wonderful. And now on to the third story in the series.
~Nicole

Author's Response: Hooray! Thanks, I\'m really glad you\'re enjoying the series, that was a lovely review. I\'ve read stories which are letters, they\'re muchly fun. Jaclyn Moriarty writes that format very well, and quite hilariously.

Starts with Goodbye by Ron x Hermione

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

Ron and Hermione have been married for awhile now. They are even expecting their first child soon. They have yet to find a name for their bundle of joy, a boy; even though they have looked through a plethora of baby book names.

But when a house-elf shows up and tells the two that Hogwarts is in danger by Death Eaters and even Voldemort himself, what will happen?

Harry is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher there, but will he finally be able to break the trend of having a new teacher every year?

Will he fight to the death?

My version of the Final Battle, and what will happen.

Fenrir by FenrirG

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Many and many a story depict Fenrir Greyback as a terrible and heartless, brutal monster. This is true. But many years ago, a broad-shouldered and handsome little boy entered Hogwarts for the first time, ready for the best seven years of his life.

Those seven years never happen. When Fenn Grey is bitten by a werewolf, his entire life as he knows it is ended. Faced with rejection, betrayal, and prejudice, Fenn is forced to look for a better life, a better existence. This is the story of how he finds it... with Lord Voldemort.

This is my first fic, so please read and reveiw!

Chapter 5, "A Father's Nightmare", is up!

Reviewer: FlightofthePhoenix Signed
Date: 03/27/07 Title: Chapter 1: Prologue

Great first chapter. The summery got me interest and the excellent witing kept me going! But for some reason I always thought that Fenrir would be aggressive and cruel like he is now, even before he is bitten, not an innocent little boy. Oh well, either way, i am looking forward to reading the rest of the story. *patiently awaits updates*
Keep up the excellent writing!

And is there any chance you could check out my new story, Snow White Love. Reviews would be great!

Author's Response: Hello, and thank you very much for your review! :)

I\'m very glad that you like my story--I agree that Fenrir seems like he would be mean as a child, but I\'m sure he had to have been innocent once! Hopefully, you won\'t be waiting long--I\'m a bit caught up in the challenge fic, but Chapter 6 should be up in a few weeks.

Thanks again for your review, and I\'ll check out your story as soon as I have time!

Cheers, Fenn

The Pied Piper of the Black Forest by butter_beer_drinker

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed. -G. K. Chesterton

Can the hero slay the "dragon" that hunts his little girl and haunts his nightmares?

This is submitted for my final assignment in Professor Talons DADA: An Introduction to Dark Arts class.

I am proudly saluting you with the sword of Godrick Gryffindor.

A small warning, this story terrified me (and my beta) and made me cry. Read it with caution but please read it.

Oh my gosh Kristy. You, as a Mother, write such heart-wrenching stories that I can tell are straight from the heart and thats what makes you sucha good writer. Becuase you can easily put yourself in that situation; the fear of loosing a child is just simply unbearable
:( And you write Harry's pain so well. *smile* And as buggy2121 said: The last word "too" made me cry. I was like "oh!" and I covered my mouth with my hand. It was simly beautiful and tear-worthy :) *squish* And I love how you said you keep changin your mind. Whether it really happened, or the marks were simply a birthmark. And it was inspired by your own little girl? *hugs Kristy's little girl* Your children, one day, will inspire a book out of you one day, I'm sure of it :) I'll keep an eyes out for you :)

Author's Response: Thanks Nicole, and I actually do have an original fiction in the back of my mind.  I used the general idea of it for my story The Guardian, that at some point I am going to turn into a chaptered fic.

Sacking that Silvery-Haired Man . . . by Ron x Hermione

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •

With his long silvery hair, and deep, soft voice, she can’t help but think about him.

Delve deep into the mind of Dolores Jane Umbridge, High Inquisitor of Hogwarts.

Very amusing story Lindsey. How does your mind come up with this type of story, I wonder.

"Yes, I know, Dolores,” he replied harshly. “I’m tired of you harassing my students and staff.”

“Yes, well-”

“I wish that you’d harass me,” he said slyly.

This had be cracked up in uncontrolable laughter. Loved it completely Lindsey.

~Nicole~

Author's Response: LOL, well, I was actually kind of dared to write a Dolores/DD story, and the second chapter is what I came up with in a shorter version. :) Then, I saw this challenge ABOUT Dolores, and I was like . . . yeah. It fit. *giggles* THat was my favourite part to write. Thanks, and I\'m glad you liked it! ~Lindsey :)

"Do I attract you?

Do I repulse you with my queasy smile?

Am I too dirty?

Am I too flirty?

Do I like what you like?"

~"Grace Kelly" by Mika

Pansy Parkinson was at a loss. There were some things that her money couldn't buy and that was Blaise Zabini. But what she couldn't have had never stopped her before!

'Some might have called her plan cunning, but Pansy simply called it intelligent. Pansy couldn’t get what she always wanted right away like Blaise could; she had to work at it. Pansy’s drive to get what she couldn’t have would’ve put her in Slytherin, had the Sorting Hat had made it that way. But it was the way that she used her knowledge to get what she wanted made her a Ravenclaw."

Oh Fresca, this is a excellent story. It has a slight fluffiness in between the lines of darkness and dispair. And great description dearie.

They drew nearer, their lifeless hands reaching out toward him as if to suck out not only his soul, but his identity, everything about him. They wanted to take the dying air around him, to extinguish the last rays of light in the alleyway, to suck all the joy out of the world if they could. They wanted him on the ground, cowering, crying out in fear. They wanted him to relive his worst memories, to drown in his own despair, powerless to stop the flood of sadness, tragedy, and everything else that was within their power to call upon that would cause him pain.

The description of hopelessness in this paragraph was simply brilliant and I loved the story. *hurries of to read more stories by Fresca*

Truly a wonderful story dearie,

Across the Line by Skipper424

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Scorpius is much different than his Malfoy name would suggest. He’s a very friendly and genuine young wizard who, against the odds, has become close friends with Albus Potter. He is bright as a student and has an amazing talent for Potions, drawing him comparisons to a former Hogwarts Headmaster named Snape. His quick smile is charming and he has a sense of adventure and mischief to match any Potter. And, unbeknownst to Albus, he’s fallen for the youngest Potter, Lily.

It all sounds like countless other school-age romance scenarios taking place at both magical and Muggle schools worldwide, none of which end in tragedy. What makes this one different? There is a line existing between safety and danger. Not all people posses the ability to recognize it, or foresee possible consequences of their actions when they cross it. Even in the absence of malicious intent, awful things can happen when one strays across this line into an uncharted and treacherous wilderness of ignorance.

This is the first place winner of the September One-Shot Challenge. Very special thanks to joybelle423 for her wonderful beta reading. I cannot thank her enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you ...

Warning: This story contains implied non-consensual sex. There is nothing graphic and the reader does not witness the act, but learns enough about it to possibly be disturbed if sensitive to such things. Please proceed with this warning firmly in mind.

Colours Of Life by xombie

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Each moment is a decision, defined by the circumstances. Who knows? Had it not been for an overprotective cousin, perhaps Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy could have been the best of friends. Perhaps in one point in time and space, they are. As it happens, their relationship was defined by one catalytic factor, James Potter, and now, they are sworn enemies.

This story is a chronicle of their first year at Hogwarts, and their last. It is a tale of happenstance and familial influence, of an enmity that was not theirs to decide. Read and find out how such an enmity can influence the lives of two innocent children and wreck them. Will the injury last forever?

Soon, I hope :D I like the changes of the POV between Scorpius and Rosie. Helps us understand whats going through each others mind. That's really great. I love reading the next generation stories because the characters are all ours to fiddle with. The way they react and stuff, we give the background to the name. Its obvious J.K wanted us to write Rose/Scorpius fic, otherwise, why would she had written Ron have forbbidon Rosie to date him?Just a little nudge of inspiration she's given us.
