Life doesn't always take the road they expect or want, but they soon learn that no matter what they do or how hard they try, the world stops for no man and that simply put, Life Happens.
Primarily Harry/Ginny but with Ron/Hermione background. Picks up after the end of book 5 and continues into Post-Hogwarts.

Date: 09/12/07 Title: Chapter 6: Chapter Six - Classes and Passes
Now we're getting somewhere! I found this from being really creepy and looking at Red Haired Mom's faves list. We had some of the same stories listed, and I was looking for something new. The story idea is so interesting, I had to add it to see where you would take it.
Now I'm hooked. I can't wait until Hermione finds out who they are, I am excited to see if you do any sort of touching moment with Harry and Lily, and some bonding with James. I am assuming that their memories will be obliviated at the end, but it would be so bitter-sweet!
Are they ever going to meet Lupin?

Of Christmas Past by Chaser921
Rated: 3rd-5th Years •Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.
The warning is for later chapters.
Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!
Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.
Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?

I believe I felt a bit of a swoon when Remus had the urge to kiss Marty. Very cute and well written.
Have I mentioned that I love the fact that you still have Marty think about her mom? It's nice to see you haven't lost that plot thread in the rest of the story.

Author's Response: Aw, I'm glad you like that, I'm always a tiny but wary of mentioning her Mum, because I don't want people thinking she's just harping on about it all the time. But let's face it, in real life you wouldn't just move on, would you? It always kind of annoyed me when characters died in other fics and they had one mourning chapter and suddenly everything was back to normal. Hmm ... I don't think I've ever made anyone swoon before! New frontiers, eh?

That was wonderful! Is it wrong that I kind of wanted them to get a few more punches in? I was so surprised Sirius was so vicious! But it makes for a good story.
Oh, and I hate it when girls act like girls! Haha! Ignoring the boys is going to be hard. I wonder if Marty will realise that she misses Remus more than the others?

Author's Response: At the minute, the thought of Remus being more special than the others hasn\'t occured, but you never know, do you? I think, living in the family he does, Sirius has a very vicious streak, no matter how hard he tries to get away from it. But he\'s like a naughty puppy, and he will always come back sorry. I love it! This is such a cute story! I'm kinda glad the updates are down, otherwise I don't know if I would have found this! You write so well, I have to stop myself from laughing out loud when I'm at work reading it!
I'm sure it's already been addressed, but where was the Lily/Snape/James scene after O.W.L.s? I thought Marty would have witnessed it being so close an observer at the time... oh, well.
My favorite line so far is Remus' "Fifty Nutter Points". LOL! I'm excited for the next chapter, whenever that may be!

Author's Response: Um ... I defintely think I did at least THINK about that scene ... it\'s possible that the story begins soon after it, or it might be mentioned in passing ... or something. I don\'t remember. But I didn\'t want to rewrite that scene properly anyway, since it\'s seen in a lot of other Marauder fics, so I don\'t think I would be able to pull it off and have it remain interesting. I\'m really glad you\'re enjoying the story! Thanks for your kind words, really. =)

Author's Response: Aw, he\'ll bounce back under her good influence. If I say so myself, I was particularly proud of the \"Very bohemian\" bit too, which is why I used it as the chapter name.
