This fic follows Ginny through her sixth year at Hogwarts with exerpts from Deathly Hallows itself. Doing what she can for the wizarding world, determined to help harry in whatever way she can, read on as Ginny dodges Death Eaters that roam the halls of Hogwarts, attempts to steal the Sword of Gyffindor right from under Snape's nose, sneaks out to Hogsmeade, all the while enduring the Cruciatus Curse from Amycus and Alecto Callow, and even her fellow classmates. Join Ginny, Neville, Luna and the returning DA leading up to the Battle of Hogwarts, and Voldemort's undoing.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review. Yes, it was based on a woman and a man but she wasn\'t trying to kill herself and she intends to live ... it was just to escape. I left the question of who open so that I could hear what people thought and how they interpreted it so thank you for leaving your thoughts on who it was. Thanks.

Very interesting story.
I was intrigued by the end; how Ravenclaw was writing to Slytherin about the failed attempt at making a Horcrux (I wonder what he did with this info?) and the creation of a Dementor.
Although, what went wrong when he was creating the Horcrux? He kills the girl, he takes out the part of his soul, he puts it in the metal charm. Did he accidently take out is whole soul or something?
I had a hard time figuring out what was happening in the beginning, but I quickly discovered what was going on and fell into the groove of the story.

Okay, so I didn't realize it was Harry until I reread the author's note, but now I see it. I also had forgotten that it was pre-DH, so I was trying to match it to deaths in DH to no avail.
But now I get it, and it's very touching. Dead!Harry is surrounded by all these people mourning him, but none of them really know him. Then, his "family" comes, and that's all right and dandy, but then he wories that they're just going to completey forget him. And then some random old lady comes.
I really liked it; it conveyed the emotions very well, but I didn't quite get the end. Who is she? Is she just a random old lady that remembers him better than the others?

Author's Response: The old lady is Ginny. That particular stanza is about fifty years after the first two. I was pretty vague about it, putting in only the \'ashes to a flame\' thing as a clue. My bad. :)

Quite interesting, I suppose, but not exactly what I expected. I knew it was goig to be Ginny and Harry, of course, but usually when I read those (and it is from Ginny's POV), it's CAPSLOCK!Angst. This was what I think is referred to as Whangst. Whiny angst.
Yes, I did find it a bit whiny. Incoherently whiny. All the "oh, I'm going to die, oh, he's going to die" did drag on my nerves some.
The end was nice, though. I like how Ginny- or you, as the author- interpreted "Ginny" as the word that meant the war was over.
