Leaves by Simply Being

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: I would look out into the forest, full of huge lofty trees covered in leafy green foliage, pointing downward as if sensing the rain, and trying with all their might to get as far away as possible from it. It doesn’t really make sense, I used to muse to myself. Why would leaves hide from the rain? Maybe, I decided, because they were afraid; afraid that the thing they loved the most would somehow hurt them, and why bother even taking a chance? Therefore, I had concluded, they pointed downward as far as they could reach.

What if the death of Luna's mother wasn't an accident?

A/N: Thanks so much Kasey, Rachel, and Catrin! Also: This comes with a slight AU warning, it all depends on how you look at it. But, strictly speaking, it does not go against cannon.

Do You Carrot All For Me? by looseboregs

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: James Potter is the ideal man in any girl's book. He's good-looking, he's smart and he's Quidditch Captain. There is just one book in which he does not register. That book belongs to no other than Lily Evans, the one girl James has ever loved.

Lily Evans does not care about looks - they might add a bit of comfort, but not much more than that, she does not care about Quiddich skills either. All she wants is a man with kindness, sweetness, and sensitivity in him. Basically, the Bullying Toerag by the name of James Potter is not the man for her.

How will James ever win Lily over?

At the same time, trouble is arising in Hogwarts. Attacks have been occurring. The ones being held responsible is Lord Voldemort and his pet Death Eaters.

The only way to stand strong against such evil is to unite. The only way to stop the evil is to show strong bonds of friendship, love and trust.

And that is what this story is all about - Friendship and Love.

Selena's Choice by megan_lupin

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: “The greatest conflicts are not between two people but between one person and himself.”

What if doing the right thing wasn’t as simple as everyone thought? What if there was no such thing as an easy choice? What if both answers to a dilemma led you down a path that isn’t right or easy? Selena Rosa struggles with making just such a choice, a choice where neither path seems right. What will she ultimately choose?

Written for the “June/July Monthly Challenge Two: Conflict” by megan_lupin of Gryffindor.

The First Letter by GWeaz

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Everyone knows that Lily hated James. That is, until a special bottle worked its magic on them. When Lily is distraught from the death of her parents she can't imagine life without them. She finds a letter in a bottle that gives her strength to go on. Who was this boy that wrote to her? Could there possibly be someone out there that loved her so deeply?

This is the prequel to my other story, Message in a Bottle. It isn't essential that you read that one first, but it might be helpful.

In A Nutshell by hearyoume

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Dumbledore is going senile, Ron's eating is out of control, and poor Hagrid... will he ever realize his true strength before he kills someone?? This starts off at the beginning of the school year and ends with a detailed account of how Harry finally defeats Lord Voldemort. I poke fun at stereotypes and clichés in fan fiction, and even joke about some things in the actual books. It’s pretty much everything – in a nutshell (or is it nuthouse?).
