NIGHTINGALE, SING US A SONG of a love that once belonged.
NIGHTINGALE, TELL ME YOUR TALE; was your journey far too long?

I'm Kritchen, I'm nineteen and my birthday is May 25th. I live in America and I don't know what to tell you about myself. I have issues picking favorites so basically, I don't have a favorite HP book or movie. I do have a favorite character. Yes, that would be Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. I'm completely convinced that if Dumbledore wasn't dead, gay and about four times older than me, he'd be my soul mate. No lie. love Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Kingsley, Luna, the Twins, et cetera. Some random trivia as to how HP has affected my real life? I have a cat named Bo Kingsley (after the one in the books). I'm immensely and hugely like Luna and Dumbledore. My car is even named Luna. It's gotten to the point where my friends at school call her that.

One True Pairing: Andromeda and Ted. My story is based around them and all came about by a one shot of Teddy Lupin by Kerichi. Thank you Kerichi! Writing my story, I've simply fallen in love with these two characters and I've got plenty of story ideas left for sequels. :]

Recommended Fan Fics: anything of Kerichi's. Mistletoe's Broken Quills. KritchMis's Fuzzy Elfin Dilemmas. Padfootsgirl1981's Things Aren't Always Black and White.

Things Aren't Always Black and White by padfootsgirl1981

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
2009 QSQs: Runner-up: Best Romance - Other Character Story

Add together one ladies' man, one Quidditch player, one werewolf, and one soon-to-be traitor. Then, mix in one imaginative idiot, one fiery redhead, one clever Ravenclaw, and one blonde artist. Stir counterclockwise until trouble occurs, and you are dealing with one of the best-loved group of friends in Hogwarts history. Follow the story of the four Marauders and four equally troublesome girls. See them deal with their first encounters of love, sorrow, heartache… and Death Eaters. How will these future Order members cope with the ordeals that life throws at them? Will love blossom in what was once thought a highly unlikely place? What do you do when the person you care about most in the world doesn’t seem to notice you at all? Will a well-kept secret shatter the foundations of a seven-year friendship? Follow the lives of these friends through their last year at school to the dramatic final battle with Lord Voldemort two decades later.

Warnings are for later chapters, and any sexual situations are very minor.

Chapter Twenty Two: "The Snakes Strike" is in the queue. Excerpt:

Perfume filled his nostrils as Emma walked passed and Rosier’s gaze lingered on her bare, pale legs as the group headed outdoors. “Don’t you just love summer?” he inquired of Regulus, a hungry sneer lighting his face.

“This is ridiculous,” Regulus announced in a furious whisper, “we’re never going to get them alone!”

“Have faith, Black,” commanded Rosier smoothly. “Girls are well renowned for their desire for girly chats. I’m sure they’ll slip off the shackles of their chaperones soon enough.”

Third, I was NOT expecting the thing with Remus and Hayley. I kind of forgot about it in fact. Make it right! lol.

Great job as ever. My strong reaction means I care which means I love it.

Author's Response: Oooh, now feeding Debbie to the squid could be an interesting plot point... lol. But I love driving people crazy :D. Glad to hear I caught you off guard, and thank you!

I absolutely loved how Sam did that. If only guys were like that in real life! ;)

Author's Response: Aww thank you! That means a lot, it really does! If I only I was a genius when it came to geography (the exam I\'m revising for right now)! Yay glad i managed to avoid the cliches! I know bless him, I want a guy like that :(. Thanks for the lovely review!

I simply love this one-shot. It's very amusing and it's inspired my own story centering around this pair. :] They've become my OTP and it never would have happened without you. :]

Author's Response: That\'s awesome! I checked your profile, didn\'t see it, so is it in the queue? Still a WIP?

Lips of an Angel by Hermione_Rocks

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Desperate to contact their only son, Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy agree to allow a Muggle-made phone into their house. Lucius is sitting in his house one night when the phone rings, but it isn't Draco on the other line . . .

A one-shot musing on a Lucius/Andromeda relationship. Was written pre-DH (and it shows), but I would like to think this scene still happened one way or another. ;)

Wow, I never even thought of this relationship before but you gave it a very believable twist. I could see this happening and it almost makes me want to change the OC in my story to Lucius but I won't. lol. Excellent song fic. :]

Author's Response: Heehee. Thank you so much! :D

On a Slender Silver Chain by coppercurls

Rated: 3rd-5th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: This is the story of a necklace, a small silver bird on a delicate chain. This is the story of a girl, and her children, and grandchildren, and great grandchildren. This is a story of many moments each linked together like the links of a chain. This is a story.

Oh wow. I just read a book about a Jewish girl hiding her faith in 16th century England. This is a fantastic story to find! I love the characters and I can't wait to see where you take them.

Author's Response: Thank you. I\'m hoping to add one shot chapters as I go until (someday in the distant future) I have at least one for ever other generation of the family and can trace their movements around. I\'m glad that you liked it and hope it will continute to live up to your expectations.

Oh my heavens, I'm simply itching for more. Please do tell me that you have another chapter in the queue for this!

The transition from the beginning to later down the line was very smooth, and still marked out that this wasn't the same girl from the beginning. I really do wish to know how this story ends and all its little twists and turns.

Author's Response: I\'m glad that you are enjoying this! I\'m putting out one shot chapters rather slowly (and unfortunatly with big gaps) because of the research I\'m putting into this, but I eventually hope to trace at least every other generation from 1492 to the present. Since the necklace is passed down from mother to daughter, I hope this will provide the continutity and trasition that you were talking about. \r\n\r\nThanks again for the kind review!

Oh my heavens. I honestly don't know what to say but I know I must because this was simply to fantastic to ignore.

Remus was spot on, I thought. He was mature, thoughtful; exactly the way I picture him. He was loveable too in his kindness to Sirius. The old friendhsip, while halting and unsure, was rekindled elegantly and I loved it. Every word of it. :D

Author's Response: Thank you so much, I love that Lupin, such a cutie that one.

Author's Response: Lol, thanks Kritch. I\'m happy you luff. Thanks for the cheer, as well.

Colours Of Life by xombie

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Each moment is a decision, defined by the circumstances. Who knows? Had it not been for an overprotective cousin, perhaps Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy could have been the best of friends. Perhaps in one point in time and space, they are. As it happens, their relationship was defined by one catalytic factor, James Potter, and now, they are sworn enemies.

This story is a chronicle of their first year at Hogwarts, and their last. It is a tale of happenstance and familial influence, of an enmity that was not theirs to decide. Read and find out how such an enmity can influence the lives of two innocent children and wreck them. Will the injury last forever?

Due to my heavy work-schedule, this fic will be on hold till early June. My apologies to all.

A Black Tonks by Mistletoe

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It's the biggest battle I've ever faced in my life: my blood or my love? The two can be ambiguous, but in my case, they are black and white, day and night. I had been seemingly repressed by my family for too long, so I did the one thing that allowed me a choice. I ran away.

Have I reviewed this? I don't think I have! Gah, I'm a horrible beta if I haven't. Lol. You know that I so love this scene and that I think you totally stole it from my brain. Or rather, that I'm thinking of stealing it for my ALLTB sequel. :D Whoopsie. Wasn't supposed to let that slip. ;) Still hyper obviously and this is not very story related... Moving on!

I so loved the tensions and the emotions and the way you showed Ted and Dromeda and really, I'm just in love with it. That was a horribly incorrect grammatically sentence. >.< Okay, I should shut up now. I LOVE IT! [favorites]

Author's Response: I don\'t know why I haven\'t responded to this? SO! Thanks, kritch :] Great minds think alike! Obviously... And I really do think your brain steals my brain\'s ideas sometimes.. >.> Sketch. Lol. THANKIESFORTEHLUBLYREVIEW!

This story is completely inspiring. It brings to life the color of loss in the eyes of a very real, very wonderful OC. It explores the wonders of finding hope and dreams again. It moved me almost to tears. It's written beautifully and kept me unwilling to turn away for one second. FANTASTICLY AMAZING. lol.

Author's Response: Thank you very much for all your kind words. I\'ve had several of my close friends go through periods of depression, and watching them slowly come back out of it was one of the most beautiful experiances I have had. I\'m very glad you enjoyed it!

Saving Catherine by Pondering

Summary: Remus Lupin was not sure of what he was going to find when he went down to live with a colony of werewolves. What he certainly did not expect was a young couple who dreamed of escaping.

This story was extremely touching and actually brought tears to my eyes. I loved it, and I have to say that I haven't seen much that covers Remus' time in the werewolf colony. Your story painted a very vivid picture of it.

Author's Response: Wow, I\'m honoured. :D It\'s not often that I hear my writing has made people cry and I was hoping that it didn\'t come across as too bland as I was writing this with limited time on my hands. I was a bit curious as to how the colony would have been structured, so what better than to write a fic about it?

Our Little Secret by Kerichi

This is the first chapter of this I've decided to review but it is definitely worth it. I've always had a thing for those slightly opposing couples. You've written Rose and Scorpius wonderfully in that aspect. They are their own characters and while they are different from each other, I believe they compliment each other well. This was not the favor I saw coming at all. It's a wonderful cliffhanger. :)

Author's Response: When a story's complete there's no reason you can't read straight through, so I'm happy you stopped to tell me you like the characterization and the cliffhanger. Thank you!

Reviewer: kritchen Signed

I knew that first line was familiar. I loved The Illusionist! Rose and Scorpius would definitely be able to pull of so daring a caper. In fact, it seems they already are. I just love your characterization of them. This is my first next generation that I've read and your portrayal of Ron is exactly how I'd imagine him reacting. Wonderful story!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Ron has matured, and he reacts like a dad, but there's still a bit of the boy left who's suspicious of all Slytherins (especially Malfoys!), and it'll take awhile before he trusts Scorpius with his daughter. :D
