Hi, I'm Emily
I'm eighteen (nineteen in a few months...god I feel old...) and from Australia. I'm in university (studying the never-ending joy that is science), and I, clearly, love Harry Potter. I enjoy writing (though at the moment my time is severly limeted - seriously, do you know how much energy is required to get good grades and maintain some semblance of a social life?), and am currently working on one story here on MNFF The Choices We Make
On that note, to anyone who's read my other story, Dumbledore's Secret, don't expect any updates soon. It's basically abandoned, because I just don't like it anymore. Maybe one day I'll bother to finish it, but...I doubt it.

Summary: Giving high school essays a Marauder twist, this fiction is centered around the idea that some seniors in high school are require to write a letter to incoming freshman before they graduate. At Hogwarts, Seventh Years are given an assignment to write such a letter for the new First Years. Sirius decides to actually take an assignment, well seriously...sort of. He decides to look back on his entire Hogwarts years and write down his list of things not to do at Hogwarts.

Just so you know, when I read this chapter I was basically bawling my eyes out, and seriously considered hunting you down and murdering you for doing this to me! Buuuut...well, I do love a tragic ending almost as much as I love a happy one, and so I decided not to. Really, anyone can make a person smile with their story, but to make me cry as much as you did is almost an achievement. And I say almost only because I'm the world's biggest sap who can't watch The Notebook without crying.
Basically, I loved every single word of this story, even the annyoingly sad ones, and that's about all :)

It was aa great little story...right up until you mentioned head dorms. As a boarding school alum, I find the entire idea of head dorms completely stupid. No school in their right mind would allow two teenagers of opposite sexes to live in that kind of environment - most schools have seperate buildings for boys and girls, and mine had seperate campuses three kilometres from one another. Head dorms are the stupidest fanfic invention I've ever seen, basically just an easy way out for writers too lazy to think of more creative and realistic ways to get a couple together than to force them to live together.
On the other hand, your writing is really quite good. And the plot so far, and particularly the characterisation of Malfoy as a completely evil/scary/just a little psychotic arse is amazing, and refreshing compared to most people's fanfic!Dracos. If you hadn't have included head dorms, I probably would have kept reading...
Author's Response: The fact that Draco and Hermione share a dorm is stated in the plot summary; I find it curious that you chose to read anyway, considering the depth of your hatred of that particular plot device. I've never been to boarding school (or even a summer camp), and never had any friends who did, so I was unaware of convention. Hogwarts is nothing if not unconventional, however, so I don't find it that unrealistic. And I found it a little tricky to maintain the balance of their relationship while sharing a living space. Roommates can either be awesome or be the worst experience of your life; rarely are they both.
I'm glad that you liked my characters and the general plot, however. Too bad about the head dorms. ;)

EDIT: This story is abandoned, and is in the process of being rewritten with an older Albus. I realized that having a first year in the TWT wasn't the best idea :/

I'm intriuged by this chappie, and the whole concept of this story in general. I love love love Tudor England - it's like, my third-fave historical period - so that plus Harry Potter is gold as far as I'm concerned.
One tiiiiiny little issue - as far as I can remember from my tudor england history researching, the Boleyn family weren't actually that important. It was Anne's mother's family, the Howards, who were the really important family...but that's just me being a perfectionist-ish freak :) Otherwise, awesome story.
