But I'm a Weasley! by Anisky

Not Alone by The_Real_Hermione

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Teddy Lupin appears to be surrounded by love and happiness, yet sometimes death and loneliness overshadow everything he does.
Reviewer: Lost_Robin Signed
Date: 07/03/12 Title: Chapter 1: Not Alone

Wow. You did a really good job with Teddy and Victoire. I haven't read many fics or books in second person, but this was really well written. Good job!

Author's Response: Thanks very much for the review, I"m glad you liked my characterisations. I really like writing in second person, but I know a lot of people don't like it much, so I'm glad you liked that too. Thanks :) ~Katrina

An Epitaph - Severus Tobias Snape by Half_BloodPrincess

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Severus Snape is dead, but who is to write the epitaph for his tombstone, and what is there to say?
Reviewer: Lost_Robin Signed
Date: 04/19/11 Title: Chapter 1: An Epitaph - Severus Tobias Snape

Yay, I'm a carrot!

Author's Response: Wow! I never knew that my fic writing was powerful enough to turn readers into root vegetables! Perhaps I should put up a warning? Also, if I were to eat a certain root vegetable that had a brain and a personality and (possibly) magical talents, would I get super night vision? Not that I would ever, ever eat any sentient root vegetables.... unless they were tasty.... You're not tasty, are you?

Strictly Business by ToBeOrNotToBeAGryffindor

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

Hannah Abbott was up to her eyeballs in a business she scarcely knew how to run. Out of money and sleep deprived, all she could do was grind out day after day, but she couldn't last forever that way.

And then Neville walked into her pub and into her life. Things might've started looking up, after all.

Better than Chocolate by Equinox Chick

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It is the Easter holiday at Hogwarts and Charlie Weasley has decided to stay at school instead of going home. He told his mother that he needed to study, but Charlie has something, or rather someone, on his mind.

Maybe this year a certain Metamorphmagus will become more than a friend?

Thank you to Natalie (hestiajones) for beta'ing this story.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling. She is far richer, far taller and is far more talented.

Happy Easter, MNFF'ers.

A Little Too Late by magic42

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Set in the Marauder's fifth year, follow the story of James and Lily. Witness the rollercoaster of emotions, feel the tensions running high, experience the drama that only the Marauders can bring.

Follow their lives, their laughs, their loves.

EXCERPT

It’s been a month, and the wound is still raw and fresh as ever in my mind. It hurts to know that what we had once is now gone. All because of one word, one choice.

I know that Dumbledore always says that it’s the choices we make that set us apart. But I hate the fact that we are forced to make a choice and take a side. If only he hadn’t been in Slytherin, if only he hadn’t been into the Dark Arts, if only he wasn’t taking that side, if only he didn’t call me that word.

Summary: Several years after the final battle, Dudley Dursley is struggling to come to terms with his past and the things he has done wrong. His life is turned upside down when he meets a charming young witch and is drawn into a path that leads him back into his cousin's world.

Heiress of Evil by voldiexx

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Whew, those thirteen years were nasty, but Voldemort's back and better than ever. He's got plenty to do, consolidating a power base, punishing traitors, and not letting the haters get him down, but he's spared some time to look over the custody agreement he signed fourteen years ago...

Annabel Curry wanted to spend the summer getting a tan, perfecting her Cheering Charms, and ensnaring Terry Boot. Instead, she's spending it with her dad the mass murderer and his unshaven goons. Oh yeah, and the shower doesn't work, AND NO ONE BUT HER SEEMS TO CARE.

First dates. Sparkly nail polish. Magical plumbing fiascos. Some heartwarming father-daughter moments. And some not-so-heartwarming ones.

A Rose By Any Other Name by Alice Mac

From hatred, to sympathy, to attraction, to perhaps something deeper, Scorpius and Rose find themselves in uncharted territory. Can they rise above their ingrained dislike for one another? Or will their prejudices keep them from realising the true reason they can so easily get under each other's skin?

Remember the Slytherins by iLuna17

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: There is a thin line between love and hate. There is an even thinner line between Gryffindor and Slytherin; the willingness to do anything to achieve their goals. Gryffindors cannot see the big picture, and if they come to a decision to choose between the greater good and their loved ones or himself, they would sacrifice the world for their friends.

Slytherins are different. We know the value of sacrifice, but there is something else that separates us from those who wear red and gold. We will fight as hard as we can, in any way possible, even if it may be seen as unjustified or morally wrong. Gryffindors let their consciences get in the way of the greater goal. We don’t, but no one believes that we can fight for the right cause. They remember us as the evil, idiotic, or simply power hungry. They don’t remember us for what we are; who we are. We’re here to change that.

They will remember us, and they will remember us as those who fought all prejudice and cruelty simply because were were done with it. They will remember us, and the next time they think of a phoenix rising from the ashes they will remember this phrase:

Remember the Slytherins.

Hindsight by BrokenPromise

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Draco Malfoy looks back at his childhood now that it is over.
Reviewer: Lost_Robin Signed
Date: 05/24/12 Title: Chapter 1: Hindsight - One Shot

Very very good. You made me cry. I'm glad that Draco doesn't fall into a pit of dispair after the battle. He changed for the better. I also like how you incorporated Hermione. I could see him liking her in the books. It always seemed like a possibility to me.

Author's Response: I'm a bit of a Dramione shipper at times, so I am rather fond of the idea that he liked her. I believed that Draco probably had too much pride to fall into a 'pit of despair' as you call it. Thanks for the review, and I'm sorry I made you cry. Or perhaps I'm glad. I don't know; it kind of depends on why you were crying...

Of Babbling and Balls by Acacia Carter

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: When he sees her, Colin's heart starts to race. And now he's got her all to himself for an evening - or at least he did.

This is Acacia Carter of Hufflepuff writing (again) for the Inaugural Great Hall Cotillion of 2012.

Fragments by BrokenPromise

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

She was the first to accept me for who I was, Muggle father and all. The teachers didn’t count. Dumbledore accepted me out of duty; Slughorn accepted me for his own personal gain. She accepted me out of love.

Would you have been any different if you had had your world ripped apart and your heart shattered until there was nothing left to love with?

This is a story about a boy and a decision that he regretted. A decision he had made a few times before. Tom Riddle made the decision to say so many times those words that would eventually be his downfall.

I really like this story and thought you did well on the characterization.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! I'm really glad you enjoyed the story. I'm relieved that you thought that the characterisation was good because it was difficult to get the balance right with Riddle.

Discovery by Gmariam

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •

And no, they are not James Potter and Lily Evans. Shocking, I know.

Discovering Delirium by The owl

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: At the start of her seventh year, Lily Evans doesn’t know quite what to expect of her new duties as Head Girl. Her only certainty is that Potter will manage to mess them up somehow. However, even she couldn’t have foreseen exactly how much he could mess things up.

James isn’t too worried about being Head Boy. He is more concerned by whether Evans would finally get over herself and see that he really had grown up a bit. However, their shared responsibilities were going to change things more that he knew.
Reviewer: Lost_Robin Signed
Date: 05/28/12 Title: Chapter 1: Discovering Delirium

Did Sirius do that to get them together? It seems like something he would do. Great characterization of all the characters. Good job!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Sirius was hoping for the exact outcome he got, although I'm not sure he would have predicted the Hogsmeade trip. He was fed up of seeing James mooning over Lily and not doing anything, so he came up with this prank to try and kick start things. Of course, he didn't ever consider that it could merely have resulted in a lot of awkwardness between the two of them, or that Lily could have got angry and blamed James, but that's Sirius through and through. He's just lucky that I want Lily and James to get together just as much as he does! ~Sophie
