To whoever wants to read this, I can tell you that I'm a human. I'm hopelessly addicted to Harry Potter, and have been for a long time, I think that explains my annoying presence.

I find it harder to read and write non-canon fics.

I love writing, so I'm giving a stab at writing fanfic, and I can now say that I appreciate all of the authors on here about a gazillion times more. :P I hope that somebody will enjoy my work, but critique away! :D :D :D

Letters From Hogwarts by mudbloodproud

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: In Britain, there are two birthdays that are waited for with bated breath by witches and wizards alike. The first is turning eleven. This birthday brings an owl bearing a letter to Hogwarts.

For some, getting their letter does not go as planned. In this series, you will discover the day several witches and wizards received their letter and why it wasn’t just a normal day.

I wish to thank my beta, Alyssa (harry4lif).

I do not own anything your recognise in this story. It all belongs to J.K. Rowling. I am just thankful to be able to play in her world for a little while.

I absolutely love this story! You write the best (torturing for the reader :P) cliffhangers in all your stories! A perfect epilogue that really ties things up, too! You could honestly be JKR writing backstory... So, are you? :D
Are you writing anything currently?

Sunday Lunch with The Malfoys by hestiajones

This was fantastic! One thing though, your dialogue seems stiff, you should use some more contractions, but otherwise, this was one of my favourites!

Author's Response: This was my early writing D: Back then, I think I had some subconscious vendetta against contractions. Hopefully, over the years, I've improved. Thanks for reviewing, though! I am happy you liked it.

Oh, one more thing, what house is Scorpius in?

Author's Response: D: This was my earliest personal canon regarding the three kids, and honestly, I can't remember. :/ I do think I put him in Ravenclaw, though.

Thank you for your time, Professor by Equinox Chick

Rated: 1st-2nd Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: It is April 1976, and Minerva McGonagall sits in her office, arranging biscuits on a plate. She knows she faces a stormy afternoon because today is the day she has to advise her four most troublesome students on their future. They call themselves the Marauders; they think they want the same thing, but Minerva knows that the differences between them will not work in everyone's favour. And so, she steels herself for a very difficult day.

This is Equinox Chick submitting her final for the MWPP class.

Disclaimer: I am not JK Rowling, but I doubt that shocks you.

This story is very much a prequel to The Lions of Gryffindor, but either can be read without knowledge of the other.

I love this story, I don't think I reviewed this, so I came back to read it again! One edit though, you wrote “The same things you ordered ordered" above, and I think that it would make more sense if you wrote it as "The same things you already ordered".

Letters of a Love Past by Karaley Dargen

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Even as a grown woman, Parvati Patil still has a small box that holds her memories. A fraction of the countless letters she received from her best friend (and copies of the letters she sent her) and notes passed between them at school are in there too - and even a page of the diary she hardly ever used.

One part of those old letters are the only reminder of Parvati's first love; a love never openly admitted to, and a love never requited.

This is so funny! It sounds so real. One question, are the exchanges between Parvarti and Lavender notes or speech? Fantastic job- a great look at Parvarti and Lavender's friendship- there isn't much about the two of them in the books, 'cause Lavender spent too much time kissing Ron and not enough talking... :P

Author's Response: Oh, I only just noticed your review (haven't been getting review notifications for a while now...) -- thank you so much for it! I still quite like Parvati and Lavender, because they were such close friends and don't get nearly enough attention. The exchanges are notes written in class. Everything in there is stuff that can be kept in a box under your bed, basically. I'm glad you liked it! Thank you very much for taking the time to review, it means a lot!

Flying, Fair Play and the Need for a Firm Hand by Equinox Chick

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Rolanda Hooch thought her first year teaching (when she had to control Bellatrix Black) would always be her worst year. But then she'd hadn't met a messy-haired Gryffindor, his equally cocksure friend, and a red-haired witch with a penchant for revenge.

Sometimes she wished she'd never taken the job at Hogwarts.

This is Equinox Chick of Hufflepuff and this is my entry for the I Challenge Thee Challenge held in Fiction Junction over at the MNFF beta boards.

I accepted a challenge by Karaley Dargen which was

Write about James I. first flying lesson. It does not go well.

Thank you to Lexi (Harry Rulz) for beta'ing this fic for me.

Wow! There's nothing that you could possibly improve about this story, except you could post the next chapter! :D Any hint what will happen next?

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the lovely review & for reading! :) I'll try to post the next chapter more quickly than this one...which isn't saying much since it took me five months to post Chapter 14, lol. I can say that the plot will thicken, and that even though Lily got all her feelings out (very loudly, I might add) the drama isn't quite over between her and James.

Taking Direction by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: What if the characters in the Harry Potter films were portrayed—not by actors—but by the book versions of themselves, as created by Rowling? How might things unfold on that set? What would the characters think of the changes made from the stories they’d already lived out… to the ones written for the script?

This fic is a series of one-shots, posted as chapters, each from the perspective of a different character who is dealing with the changes occurring between the book and the script.

Holy Movie Canon, Batman! This fic won the 2011 Quicksilver Quill Award for Best Chaptered Humor Story. Thanks so, so much!

You made my day. Thanks for updating! It was definitely a pleasant surprise, and a fantastic chapter as well.

Honestly, the first time I saw HBP, I had no idea what was going on with the Burrow burning. I went back to check my book to make sure I hadn't forgotten something crucial. You did a great job with Molly and Arthur, and everybody else.

While you might not choose to do a scene with dead characters, like Lily and James, I was wondering what you would do in place of having the real characters there. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to the next chapters! :D :D :D

Author's Response: Yeah, dealing with dead characters is the real difficulty of this fic. In all but the first chapter, these scenes reflect relationships and attitudes of the characters after the whole story has been told, and really, some of those characters should be dead. It's the one issue I've never figured out how to get around, and in the end, I'm just asking readers to suspend their disbelief on that one. In DH, it will be especially difficult, as it will be that much farther along in the story, and that much more obvious that certain characters are gone. I have a scene in the Burrow for that one, and have just left Fred absent because I think it makes it a bit easier for the reader. Or at least, I hope so. Thanks for bringing this up. I wish I had a better answer for you. Definitely will not be dealing with any characters who died early in (or before) the series though. It's hard enough managing the ones who die in DH.

I'm so glad you liked this, and I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. They always make my day! Thanks!

I came back to read this, and I'm loving it every bit as much as I loved it the first time. :D

It's gotten better too. :P Are you planning to continue with this? Keep up the good work! :D :D :D

Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much. I am planning to continue but my follow-through kind of sucks right now. The next chapter is actually mostly written, but I'm not feeling as good about it as I have the others. Hopefully I'll get motivated to fix it up and post soon. Thanks so much for coming back to reread, and taking the time to review. I appreciate it!
