Sirius' Serious Squirrel Secret by The Scribbler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Charming, courageous, athletic, rebellious, and Hogwart’s number one heartthrob: a reputation Sirius Black has cherished since First Year. Unfortunately for Sirius, his worst enemy overhears the one little secret that could ruin his reputation in an instant. The Marauders have to stop their enemy before the secret can spread through Hogwarts. If they fail, the perfect life as Sirius knows it will end.

Warning: extreme OOC content and general ridiculous randomness.

Oh, God, you're funny! I especially liked James resisting the urge to cuddle the squirrel.

Please keep this going.

Author's Response: I agree! God is certainly funny. Maybe Bailey and I got a little humor from Him? More chapters are to come.

WTF? I think I missed something.

Author's Response: It's possible. Snape told Sirius to sing to McGonagall or else he would reveal Sirius' secret. Sirius comes up with the idea of fooling Snape into believing he isn't afraid of squirrels (and then could not be blackmailed). Snape doesn't believe it. So, Sirius still has to sing to McGonagall.

Excellent! Not only a reasonable and well-thought-out betrayal, but a decent explanation for the fear of squirrels to be reasonable. Keep going!

Author's Response: Thank you! It mean a lot when a reader approves. :) I hope you enjoy the last chapter.

Hmm... I agree with Snape about the grammatical errors, but wouldn't it be easier for him to use this knowledge for black-mail purposes? (No pun intended.)

Author's Response: Snape gets his fair share of blackmail opportunity later on. Thanks for your suggestion!

Hmm... not quite as good as ones past (though still excellent!) I did like Sirius trying to explain untrue blackmail. It made no sense.

Author's Response: :) In my opinion, Sirius was crazy before he ever went to Azkaban. (But that's just me.) Thank you for reviewing!

Wow... that was very unproductive, wasn't it?

Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! Yes, the Marauders are a bit slow at getting things done, but as the urgency to find a solution picks up, they will work harder to save Sirius from complete humiliation.

That was fascinating. I hope the next one is less embarrassing... but of course it won't be.

Author's Response: No, Sirius will never see mercy... at least not yet. Thanks for reading. :)

Avada Crucio! by Vittoria

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Lord Voldemort is desperate to kill Harry Potter but what he doesn't know is that magic is ever-surprising. This fic follows his one-day adventure in a dragon reservation, in which circumstances lead to a twisted ending.

I am Vittoria of Ravenclaw House submitting my fic for the Third Task of the Mugglenet Triwizard Tournament.

Thanks to Viv for the awesome prompts and help and Apurva my wonderful beta!

Hmm... interesting story. I'm not sure protagonist is the right word... anti-hero might be more appropriate. The last line was amusing.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing! The use of the word 'protagonist' was intended actually. XD

A Broken Heart Stops by mudbloodproud

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Abigail Sampson Black lived for almost fifteen years away from the love of her life. She raised his son alone.

Her love for him never wavered. Her heart beat only for him. What happens when in a moment of anger she lashes out and those are the last words he hears from her? With her love dead, Abby just doesn’t have the will to go on.

This is loosely based on the song, ‘Beaches of Cheyenne’ by Garth Brooks. It was going to be a songfic but my muse had another idea.

This is a companion one-shot to The Unknown Heir. It also ties into Love Beyond Forever. This is the story of Abby’s death that Skylar refers to in chapter two of The Unknown Heir.

Wow... powerful story. I haven't read the other two, but this one easily stands alone. My only criticism is that this made me more depressed than your last e-mail.

Author's Response: I guess I should have put a tearjerker warning on it. If you read the other two, each stands alone, but to go in order, read Love Beyond Forever first. Thank you for your review. Terri

Secrets Are Walls That Keep You Alone by procrastin8or951

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: What ever happened to Sirius Black, infamous Marauder? Everything in his life is going wrong: his grades slip, his abuse from his parents is no longer a secret. His friends know he’s sick, but they can’t stop him. Anorexia is all he has left. MWPP

Interesting concept. I've worked with similar themes before, but never to this extreme. I like the way you used Peter's viewpoint for the second chapter, since he's one of the characters we hear the least from. Keep it coming!

But- I'm British! by Trivia Camlee

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: A normal afternoon turns into a odd one for the Trio when a random boy shows up, a character who is convinced he is an authentic British lad. He is sadly mistaken.

An excellent satire on Americans trying to sound British! All too often I notice misused words and phrases throughout stories, and this story was rather amusing. Good job!

Author's Response: Thank you :)

Late Night Memories by mudbloodproud

Rated: 6th-7th Years •
Summary: Remus and Sirius have always had a special bond, a shared secret. When Remus needs someone to talk to about Tonks, he turns to his oldest friend. The very friend he shared years of late night talks with.

I wish to thank my beta, Alyssa (harry4lif).

I do not own anything you recognise in this story. It all belongs to J.K. Rowling. I am just thankful to be able to play in her world for a little while.

Morning Tea with Sirius by mudbloodproud

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: After facing ten Death Eaters alone, where else would a man go but to his best friend? However, instead of the man, he got the wife. Better for him? Maybe...

How do you comfort your husband’s best friend when he has come close to death? Over a cup of tea, of course.

I do not own anything you recognise. It all belongs to J.K. Rowling. I am just thankful to be able to escape to her world for a little while.

The Very Last Option by Racing Co

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: In an act of sheer desperation, Albus Dumbledore attends a book signing and invites Gilderoy Lockhart, the heroic adventurer and celebrated author, to fill a final teaching position at Hogwarts.

This is Racing Co of Gryffindor submitting for the Gift of Gab challenge.

LOVE IT! Your characterization of both Dumbledore and Lockhart was spot on! Of course Dumbledore would ask about the robes.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Lockhart has quickly become one of my favorites, if only for his incredible ineptness.

Sage by luinrina

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •

It's sweet, with just the right mixture of mystery and anxiety, joy and worry. I love the ending.

When Moody's Eyeball Popped Out by DragonDi

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Remus tries to make sense of a mission gone wrong by asking Sirius about it. Bad idea. Very, very bad idea.
Reviewer: armagod679 Signed
Date: 08/27/09 Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1

I enjoyed this story immensely, particularly the way Sirius told the story to Remus. It was just like a conversation in the way they both spoke and how random it got.

Author's Response: I teach kindergarten, so I have a lot of these kinds of 'backwards' conversations trying to figure out who has done what to whom. (Is it a bad thing that I'm comparing Sirius to a kindergartner?) Thanks for reading and letting me know you liked this!

Salt by Nameless

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: In the summer of 1995, Percy Weasley was forced between two things of great importance to him: his family and his career. Did he make the right decision?
Reviewer: armagod679 Signed

I love this story. How has it gotten no reviews? I think you portrayed Percy's regret and guilt excellently. You make him seem human and less of a prat than we see in the books. Great job! Don't stop writing!

The Trials of Severus Snape by KarasAunty

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:

PoA era: Severus Snape takes a thoughtful stroll down Diagon Alley at the start of the Christmas holidays, but it soon turns into a quite a harrowing ordeal for our favourite Potions Master... UK English. Contains some dark humour. You have been warned!

Characters: Severus Snape, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Molly Weasley, Percy Weasley and (very) minor OC's.

Reviewer: armagod679 Signed
Date: 09/01/09 Title: Chapter 1: The Trials of Severus Snape

Trust me, your Snape is perfect. I love how you got every angle of his personality into the story. My only issue is that Snape didn't know that James and Sirius were Animagi at Christmas of PoA. Although the references were funny, I do not believe they fit in canon. Other than that, it was perfect.

Author's Response:

Hello armagod679,

Oops. Technical slip on my part that I really should have caught. That'll irritate me forever now. Oh, well. Can't change it now without stuffing up a good part of the story (unless I pretend he learned about it somehow from Dumbledore in the course of their quirky friendship).

Still, I'm delighted that apart from that wee error, you enjoyed it as a whole. Portraying Snape was tricky, but still quite a lot of fun - especially when I wrote the scene with the Weasley's.

Thanks for R & R-ing, m'dear,

Kara's Aunty ;)

Educating Rita by KarasAunty

Summary:

One formidable Longbottom grandmother and two mischievous Weasley twins teach Rita Skeeter a very public lesson...

UK English, canon ish , humour.

YES! It's about time that Rita got her due! I love all your stories, please keep writing them!

Author's Response:

Hello armagod679,

Rita is a ghastly b/witch, isn't she? And who better to deliver her come-uppance than Augusta, Fred and George!

I'm very happy you like all the fics so far. When I started writing, it was mainly more serious fics and I never thought I could pull off humour, but (fortunately), it doesn't seem to be going down too bad. No worries, I'll keep writing - it's so much fun!

Thanks for R & R-ing,

M ;)

How Voldemort Got His Groove Back by OHara

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Even death can't keep the Dark Lord busy for long! A few weeks after his death, Voldemort returns to earth and finds his magic lost.

Forced to live as a Muggle, Voldemort teams up with an unlikely friend in an attempt to get a flat, keep a steady job and regain his old glory.

Please note: This story contains ridiculous plot twists, kooky pop culture references, extremely out-of-character behavior, alternate universes galore and a great deal of random silliness. You have been warned!

Good twist at the end... I also want tickets to hear Voldy sing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." This is probably one of the funniest stories I've read this year.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the chapter. I have been inexcusably late on this story, but I do intend to continue it. Thanks for revewing!
