Hi there readers! I just wanted to pop in here to say that I am continuing Too Good to be Fake! After about 6 years of being away I have decided that writing / reading fanfiction was actually one of the best things I did when I was younger. So here goes! I have up to chapter 13 already written, so I will be working to get those posted over here over the course of the next few weeks. After that posts will slow down, especially around November (NaNoWriMo), but will hopefully continue into December/January. If you have any ideas for my story, or just want to chat, feel free to drop a review!

Of Christmas Past by Chaser921

Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny find themselves in a Muggle hotel in Godric's Hollow on the Winter Solstice. During an enthusiastic snowball fight, Harry and Ginny step through a stone circle that transports them seventeen years into the past. This may be the only chance Harry has to spend with his parents, and it may also be what he needs to figure out his relationship with Ginny.

The warning is for later chapters.

Edit: So, this was originally strictly a Harry/Ginny fic, but Ron and Hermione kept trying to get together too, so I felt like I had to change the category. And there's a bit of Lily/James in there too, though they're already married, and I've also added a bit of Remus/Tonks. Poor Sirius is the only Singleton (though he may manage to get a girl of his own)!

Edit: This story was cannon until after Deathly Hallows came out, so I changed it to Alternate Universe, but it's still pretty close to cannon. Only a few things will end up being different when the story ends.

Edit: I've changed all of the chapter titles to the titles of Christmas songs that I felt reflected the events in the chapters best. Tell me what you think! Does it fit?

ok so i have to say i have been reading this story for a while on flannel fiction and i am currently on chapter 49. i have got to say that it is a very good story, and quite interesting (hense chapter 49) and it just hit me how different it is later on from how it was in the first...say 10 chapters. in the beginning you seamed to have quite a bit more information in your chapters and now you are just flying by in them. they are definately still good, just a bt confusing. take chapter 48 for example. i thought that you never really explained some of the things that happened with draco, mcgonagol, Flitwick, the people and smoke upstair, etc. it seamed like a lot of stuff happened very fast without much emotion from the characters "oh theres someone in the castel who shouldnt be, oh well lets go play quidditch..." you get my point. oh well i'll keep reading and see if you explain yourself

all in all very entertaining tho...you get a smile for all your trouble :)

Author's Response: that's an interesting observation, as I get a lot of complaints saying that things are taking too long and here you're saying quite the opposite - I guess it is so very true that you can't please everyone all the time.
