The Unseemly Proposal by sparx

Summary: The reign of Voldermort comes to an end, and with it ends the prestige and power Lucius Malfoy once had in the Wizarding World. In order to regain the respect of his fellow wizards and to make them believe that he has turned over a new leaf (which he actually hasn't) and has graciously accepted muggles and Mudbloods, Lucius asks Hermione, a Mudblood, to marry his son, Draco, a pure-blood. Obviously, they both refuse, but Lucius isn't going to give up easily. After all, he wants his status back. He still has a few tricks up his sleeve and is determined to play match-maker. What happens next is a series of events that serve only to bring Hermione and Draco closer, both literally and figuratively speaking. Date: 05/24/11 Title: Chapter 13: Chapter 13: In Which Lee Comes To Light
That was an awesome story!!! I didn't know who Lee was until before I read the last chapter actually. I thought maybe it was Ginny or Hermione because it sounded kind of like a mom talking. I was going through my head all the names I knew and none of them started with L. Then I thought, Luna... Evans? for some reason and then something just snapped in my head and I was like wow! I think the characters I can relate to are Giorgi, because I tend to use a lot of exclamation points in emails, and I too, think that the Harry Potter books are awesome as mentioned in her email. I also really like Haley, because she's so out there and she goes around singing all the time, which is something that I do. I also think that Ron's addiction to coffee is weird, but funny at the same time!

The Cannons have actually been doing much better lately, due to their new star Beater, Tyrone Thomas. Unfortunately, Tyrone is Emma's ex-boyfriend. OH, THE AWKWARDNESS.
Follow Emma through her awkward adventures told in her usual insane way, as she experiences angst, hilarity, obnoxiously strange people, misadventures involving a deceptively dashing cad, Haley's wedding, the birth of Ted and Ivy's baby, and her own eventual descent into LURRRVE.
Written for the marvellous Vindictus Viridian's Pride and Prejudice NEWTs class on the Fanfiction Beta Boards, based on Jane Austen's fantastic novel, "Pride and Prejudice.".

That was really great! One say I started reading the first Potter's Pentagon book because I was really curious an I got so attached to the story and the characters almost as much as I am obsessed with the original Harry Potter books. And now I'm kind of sad that it's over. That was really good!!! I haven't actually read Pride and Prejudice, but I saw a four-ish hour (I think) version in a movie. I can't really believe that Emma didn't realize that her story was sk much like the one in Pride and Prejudice until a bit later in the story. Summary: I loved it!

And now that you've read this story, you never WILL need to read Pride and Prejudice! YAAAY! I have seen that movie ,though, and I like it... I also like the much shorter one starring Keira Knightley and a man with a silly nose. But I always think these movies put too much emphasis on the romance and not enough on the Funny, so I wanted to do that! And I think the reason why Emma didn't notice the similarity because she was too proud and too prejudiced! :D

Lyra's decision comes with many surprises, including a new ally who follows her to the final battle of good versus evil. While Lyra's path may seem clear, she finds herself torn between two sides for the final time, and in the end, despite tragedy and loss, Lyra accomplishes the impossible...which defies all of the agreements she and her family ever made.

It's such a good, happy, suspenseful story that I read from beginning to end. I really like the stories where it brings you into a whole different perspective. The only thing that was a little annoying to me, was that Lyra was always passing out and missing all the action and fights. Other than that I loved it!
Author's Response: Thanks, glad you liked it enough to read the whole thing...there sure were a lot of chapters. Lyra's passing out all the time was a convenient little way for me to avoid having to rewrite scenes and dialogue that were already in the books. Date: 05/26/11 Title: Chapter 28: Epilogue: There And Back Again
Wow! that was really good! I really love the "Occlumency was like underwear" simile; it was so weird I liked it. Also (no offense or anything), but I personally think that time travel is a really stupid idea. I almost cried when Jordan had his vision of everyone dead and it being all his fault. I probably would have cried, but I have a strange inability to cry while reading and I can only cry in movies when everyone else in the movie is crying. I love the Ivy-Ted relationship, it's so sweet! My favorite character has always been Haley, she's just awesome and always makes herself heard. I don't really understand how if when they went back to get Emma after she had died than how did the whole rest of it just automatically not happen? Also I love when Zabini just blurts out "EUREKA!" or something like that, It's one of my favorite words. I loved this series and all the other mugglenet fanfics because even though Harry Potter's over (the books anyway, since the last movie's coming out this summer) that I still have other things tying me to the Harry Potter universe so I will never stop obsessing over it. (Even when I am old, cold, and covered in mold. :D)

Great story! I felt bad for Harry though. I would havr thought that because Harry and Ron were so close from the start that Ron wouldn't care what house he was in. I think it was written nicely, very interesting.
Author's Response: I'm very glad that you liked the story. I can see what you mean about Ron and Harry. I think the main reason I figured Ron would be able to turn against Harry was because he had only really been friends with him for a few hours, whereas his family had been telling him his whole life that Slytherins were evil bullies. Harry, of course, didn't make things better by confronting him immediately and refusing to wait to reason with him when Ron was cooled off.
