Uncle Fred Calls Him Dick by MagEd

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: 2008 QSQ Awards Runner-up for Best Post-Hogwarts

Harry defeated Voldemort. Harry married Ginny. Harry and Ginny had five children. Harry disappeared. My name is Lily Potter, and this is the story of what happened when my father returned after six years missing to find my mother about to re-marry. This is the story of myself, my crazy family, and most of all, this is the story of my parents and the man who tried to come between them. (pre-Deathly Hallows)

Gah! What a twist at the end! I really loved this story; it was sad without being depressing, and romantic without being disgusting. I especially liked how light-hearted the tone of the story was, despite the heavy plot line.

A Past Reclaimed by nuw255

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: Sequel to A Stolen Past. Please read that story first, as this one really won’t make sense if you don’t.

Harry Potter has rejoined the Wizarding world after a year-long absence, but still has no memory of his time at Hogwarts. Will he ever get his memory back? Will he be able to pass his classes without it? And most importantly, will he ever be able to defeat Lord Voldemort? Read on as the last of the mysteries introduced in A Stolen Past are finally revealed.

This is a story of friendship and mystery, with a healthy dose of H/G thrown in for good measure.

For some reason, I have a bit of a thing for Amnesia!Harry stories. This one and its prequel are my favorite so far. Tyler is an awesome OC, and I loved your perception of the Veil.

My Slytherin Pride by SpookyMulder

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: One last desperate letter tells the story of how humility can find even the most corrupt of souls when death is the only way out. Things always look different in the end, but it goes to show that it's never too late to redeem yourself, to show compassion without prejudice, and to be merciful.

That was really dark, yet amazing. I love the characterization of Draco.

Hogwarts Musical: Chamber of Secrets by Schmerg_The_Impaler

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Anyone heard those rumours about a Harry Potter musical?

It better be just like this.

No, but seriously, it's a spoof of the songs from Disney channel's infamous "High School Musical," telling the tale of JK Rowling's infamous "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." (I was dared; I took the challenge.)

You will never see the Basilisk the same way again.

P.S. You may also want to check out my Beatles and Phantom of the Opera spoofs. Just click on my username and it'll take you to my delightfully chaotic author's page.

Abracadabra by whatapotter

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: When Harry was seven years old, he and Dudley were invited to a costume party by a girl in their class. While Dudley wanted to be a soldier, Harry wanted to dress up as a Wizard. As you can imagine, that went down well.

Aww, little Harry is so cute! You nailed the Dursleys' character, by the way.

The Letter by Cassandras Cross

Rated: 6th-7th Years • Past Featured Story
Summary: DH SPOILERS! Harry is so consumed with his career as an Auror that he loses touch with Ginny and their children until a letter arrives to help him remember what really matters. But is something sinister waiting out there to take it all away? An escape from Azkaban, the first in twenty years, stirs up Harry's worst fears from the past as those he loves are threatened.

Romance, mystery, and drama combine to make this a story you won't soon forget! Set one year before DH epilogue. Completely canon compliant. All reviews receive responses.

THE EPILOGUE IS UP! I don't know whether to laugh or cry as this story comes to an end, and Harry finally figures out where it's really at. (Thanks again to the amazing mods for your rapid-fire response!)

What a great fic. Although I find it a bit OOC of Harry to spend more time at work than with his family, since he didn't have one growing up.

The Time Turner's Curse by mattyjam

This is bizarre, tragic, and amazing all at once. You have such a creative mind for coming up with this! Poor Hermione, by the way.

Alternate Ending by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary:
The prophecy predicted a boy with the power to defeat the Dark Lord; it never promised that he would succeed.

AU. The war against Voldemort is not running smoothly. People are being killed off daily, not to mention that neither Harry Potter nor Lord Voldemort have been heard from in a year. Now it's time for the second Battle of Hogwarts, but the consequences and failures of the first will come back to haunt the old survivors, and seemingly knock the crumbling Wizarding world off of their feet.

Ignores the last couple chapters of DH, including the epilogue (obviously).

This story is the prequel to The Torment Bred in the Race and takes place approximately 12 years before that one.

I'm speechless. An alternate ending indeed! This story is haunting and chilling, and while I hate the thought of something like this being canon, I really enjoyed it. It would have been great to see some of it from Harry's POV, however.

Albus Potter and the Triwizard Tournament by majestic_ginny

Rated: 1st-2nd Years •
Summary: Nineteen years had passed since the battle at Hogwarts, and all had been well. Harry’s children had started attending Hogwarts. It is Albus Potter’s first year, and with it starts a new adventure: the Triwizard Tournament is about to start, and Albus finds himself more involved in it than he would have liked.

Join Albus and his gang, which includes his cousin Rose Weasley, a Death Eater's son by the name of Scorpius Malfoy, and Muggle-born Andrew Strathmore, as they find themselves in the midst of danger as soon as their first year starts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. EDIT: This story is abandoned, and is in the process of being rewritten with an older Albus. I realized that having a first year in the TWT wasn't the best idea :/

So far I like. To be honest, I knew exactly whose name was coming out of the Goblet after reading your summary, but it almost doesn't matter because of your other little surprises, like Scorpius being sorted into Gryffindor.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked it! To tell the truth, I wasn't really thinking when I gave this the title and wrote the summary. I wish I could change them now... But yes, not many fics have a Gryffindor Scorpius, so I liked that idea :). Thanks again for the review --Nadia!

The Torment Bred in the Race by paperrose

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: It's been twelve years since the Wizarding world saw Harry Potter after he mysteriously disappeared into the Forbidden Forest during the Final Battle in 1998. Now Lord Voldemort has conquered, extending his reach not just over Britain, but France, Germany, and Spain as well.

Meanwhile, hidden deep within the Canadian Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, a terrifying secret is brewing at the magic school that McGonagall herself founded just after the second battle for Hogwarts. It is at this school where Muggle-born Leah Andrews and her best friends, Gwen and Cory, will find themselves thrown into the search for the truth: What is a dead snake doing hung from a tree like a sacrificial lamb? Who really is the new DADA professor with the strange colour-changing eyes and bad mood swings? And just what does a gentle half-giant gamekeeper have to do with any of this?

One thing is for certain - all is definitely not well.

This is the sequel to Alternate Ending. I strongly recommend you read that one first, although I don't think it's necessary.

Excerpt from the Epilogue:

As he sidestepped them, he glanced down again at the wrinkled slip of parchment Charlie had handed him two days earlier with nothing more than a quiet word that there may still be one last loose end to tie.

What a fantastic story! I love how you added little snippets of Voldie's, Harry's and Nagini's thoughts in the beginning of the story. I didn't really agree with Harry surviving the AK, though--it seemed a bit cheap, and Harry probably would have been happier dying right then. Still, you did a great job.

All for All by HermitKnut

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: In the fight against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, Harry will either gain everything - or lose everything. This is life - to gain all, one must first risk all. Alternate sequel to Half-Blood Prince, twelve chapters.

Wow. Frankly, I'm blown away. While the thought of Harry dying in such a long, painful way, your story was brilliant. It is almost better than JKR's version, although if she had written something like this instead of the Epilogue, we would all be traumatized. I wish you had developed more on the scene in the battle instead of focusing on Ginny's relationship with Harry, but other than that, it was fantastic. Please, please, PLEASE keep writing! -Caroline

Author's Response: Hi there, Thank you so much for the lovely review! I'm so glad you enjoyed this, dark as it is. I can't imagine if JKR had ended with something like this! O.o I didn't really do much with the battle because with the tense the focus was on the present, and that was just a flashback to establish what had happened. As I have told many others, I have no plans to stop writing, so I hope you might check out some of my others stories someday. Thank you so much for the review! ~Gina :)

Spellbound by ravenclaw1997

Ginny Weasley is extremely excited for her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and knows that it will be wonderful. She has all of her supplies, her books, and most importantly, a wand.

But is she ready for the twist Tom Riddle will send her way?

Moving Ginny by WeasleyMom

Rated: 3rd-5th Years •
Summary: After her brother's Potter-assisting activities are discovered by Death Eaters, Ginny's Easter holiday take a bit of a sour turn.

A missing moment from Deathly Hallows

I'm not J.K. Rowling, which should be obvious as soon as you being reading. Haha.
Reviewer: Ye_Merry_Hippogriffs Signed
Date: 08/18/11 Title: Chapter 1: one-shot

Good fic, but it felt a bit pointless.

Author's Response: Um, okay. ?? I don't get how it can be both good and pointless. I would generally assume that if a fic is pointless, then any redeeming qualities it might have are pretty insignificant.

I mentioned in the story notes that this came from a drabble (500 words) and that it was a missing moment from DH. It is only meant to fill in an existing blank in the DH canon. I wasn't trying to do anything else.

After a quick look at your reviews, I realized that this fic is the only one to receive a review like this... so obviously, you just didn't care for it. Which is fine and good. Different strokes, right? :) I suppose I think reviews in general are more helpful if the crit includes something constructive to better the author's writing, rather a comment that dismisses the entire fic. When I truly do not have anything good to say about something I've read, I don't review. But that's me... to each their own, I guess.

I hope I'm not over the line with this response--I always reply to reviewers but had no idea what to say in this case. I do wish you the best. Take care. .

Her by Free_Elf

That's so sad. Poor Ron, finally realizes his feelings for Hermione, and then she dies.

Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing! Yes, Ron has rather a sad time of it here. He's stubborn, including with his feelings so I think he would tend to dwell on it for a long time.
